Hi all,

I think a topic like this is lacking in the forum.

Post your Class Setups here so Newbies like me can get some Idea what to choose for PVE/PVP Focused Multiboxing.

Example (this would be for Xbox):
Type: 5-Boxing
Class Mix: 5 Elemental Shamans (possibly provide Talent link here)
Focus: PVE AND BG(not sure about this)-PVP
PVE Progression: Farming Heroics (insert instances here...)
PVP Progression: x Rating in XonX
Usability of this Mix: Comment on how hard it is, multitasking, problems, just a little comment..

Show off your Stuff basically and still give others a good idea whats good for what.

I'm planning on getting a 5Box Setup myself, yet I am struggling as to what Classes to pick...

TIA

Sorry I cannot really contribute to this post as I have not started yet, but I can't decide on what classes to roll....my ideas are:

1 Priest, 4 Warlocks.

1 Priest, 4 Mages.

5 Druids. (Which I think might be possible....ie, my main tanking and the rest healing/dps-ing....who knows)

5 Shamans. (obviously)

Anything melee of course is almost impossible as I've learned, and it makes sense.

One possibility I've been interested in is 1 Priest, 2 Warlocks and 2 Mages...like Xzin said, similar spells but harder to control.

or even 1 Priest, 3 Warlocks and 1 Mage (or 1 Warlock 3 Mages)

But those may not be very feasable. I'm looking forward to posts in this topic.

(I plan on focusing on both PVE and PVP. Perhaps more PVP, I love arenas!)

Type:

5-Boxing

Class Mix:

Protection Paladin, Holy Priest, Warlock, 2 Mages

Focus:

Pve primarily

PVE Progression:

Stuck in that place of highly intelligent discussion, aka The Barrens

Usability of this Mix:

Very time consuming to setup and coordinate. Keybinds were a pain, but I think in the end this group will have no problem doing all the heroics, etc.

I plan to whip up another 5 man group for pvp sometime later.

Type: 5-Boxing
Class Mix: Holy/Prot Paladin, 4 Fire Mages
Focus: PVE, possible BG
PVE Progression: level 31
PVP Progression: none
Usability of this Mix: Easy

Body pulling 10-15 mobs with the Paladin, hitting frost nova occasionally to keep them from dazing (frost nova is on round robin key, can use 4 times during a single pull). Then arcane explosion them down.

Can even aoe instances pulling about 3-4 even-con elites, or 6-8 green con elites. For orange con mobs, sheep 4 and nuke a 5th down.

Paladin is on same account as my Karazhan equipped Holy Priest. So at 70, I can swap back and forth depending on the situation.

Will probably swap out a mage for my 70 Druid to do heroics if I ever get that far. Feral Druid, Holy Paladin (or Holy Priest), 3 Mages. Will be able to do Humanoid/Animal populated instances/heroics with ease at 70.

5 box

prot pally/prot warr..holy priest..3 mages

pve focus (mess around some in pvp subbing in a bm hunter in place of a tank)

pve progress: kara trash for giggles, full bot run (non heroic), mech cleared all trash and first boss (second boss is the devil), SL full clear cept for second boss (had friends come in to kill him after dying too much have gotten him to 30 so figure someday...), mech heroic first boss, arc run killed 1st 3 bosses (couldnt kill 3rd boss til i read the char positioning/strafe thingy in here so ty)

lvling 3 locks atm to try out that set up

Type: 5-Boxing
Class Mix: Prot Warrior, Holy Priest, 2 Locks, 1 mage
Focus: PVE?
PVE Progression: still setting up macros, gunna be using the /castsequence reset=combat/target
on each clone to make it easy to do the same moves over and over.
like this one for a lock:
/castsequence reset=combat/target Immolate, Corruption, Curse of Agony, Shadow Bolt
i am gunna setup a sequence for each clone
Usability of this Mix: Easy i hope lolz

Type:

5-Boxing

Class Mix:

Protection Paladin, Holy Priest, Warlock, 2 Mages

Focus:

Pve primarily

PVE Progression:

Getting high enough to clear DeadMines, also fixing macro's on the way so im mostly grinding to get the best training (actually goes quit fast on this lvl (9 ish)

Usability of this Mix:
In instances high, want to farm the heroics later on for gear marks etc and for some (de stuff) gold farming. Will be a nice setup later on, the pally is on the account with my raiding hunter and suped up warlock. So 2 locks 1 priest 2 mages is very possible in the future pvp wise.

I plan to whip up another 5 man group for pvp sometime later.

Team 1:

Type: 5-Boxing
Class Mix:4 Elemental Shamans and a Prot Pali
Focus: PVE
PVE Progression: only level 7 so far :P
PVP Progression:
Usability of this Mix: Seems fine so far, easy to assist the pali and 1shot stuff at level 7, I'll see how it goes as I get more spells etc

Team 2:

Type: 5-Boxing
Class Mix: Prot warrior, 2 mages, 1 holy priest, 1 lock (I'm starting with 3 mages, one of these will stop at 39 where a lock I already have replaces him)
Focus: PVE/possible pvp
PVE Progression: just starting out
PVP Progression:
Usability of this Mix: Will be trickier than the other group due to class variety but doable I think. I've played mage to 60, lock to 70, priest to 70, tank/warrior to 67 so I think I can work it out :)

I'm also tempted to get a group of 4locks and 1 priest just to PvP, so SICK of all the "nerf locks" whining on the forums (my main is a lock for PvE) that I'd really enjoy slaughtering the whiney little turds all day :D

Type:

5-Boxing

Class Mix:

A. Priest, 4 Mages (Daggerspine)
B. 5 Shaman (Magtheridon)
C. Warrior, Pally, Mage, 2 Locks (Daggerspine)
D. 5 Shaman (Daggerspine (shelved currently))

Focus:

PvP for Groups A and B, PvE for Group C

PVE Progression:

Group A is level 27 across in Thousand Needles
Group B is level 10ish (and one level 50) in Crossroads I believe
Group C is level 5 and in Durotar

Usability of this Mix:

Group A (priest/mages) is great, but the lack of AoE spots hurts a group with such coordinated AoE firepower. Fun in instances, but painful sometimes without a tank. Singularly focused on DPS and group heals.

Group B (shammy's) is....rough. I can see how nice they'd be at higher level, but getting them there is a massive chore. I read that they get better at level 20+, but they really fail to hold my interest so far.

Group C (mixed PvE) is going to be interesting. I'm looking at leveling them primarily in instances (I never got to do a lot of the instances due to a small guild). Micromanagement Hell, but I'm still working out all the needs/macros this group requires.

Type: 3-Boxing
Class Mix: Priest/Mage/Warlock
Focus: PVE
PVE Progression: Level 54
PVP Progression: Limited PvP
Usability of this Mix:
Since I'm only 3 boxing it's easier for me to have my Warlock's Voidwalker tank, while my squishes hang back and DPS, rather then a dedicated tank. Also, when you're 3-boxing, it's useful to use your character's names in your macros vs Party1, Party2, etc... This makes it easier to join an existing party or PvP where you probably won't have control of the party.

Type: 5-Boxing
Class Mix: Priest/Warlock x 4
Focus: PVE & PVP
PVE Progression: Level 10 (just started!)
PVP Progression: None yet...

Usability of this Mix:

1. Easy to co-ordinate
2. One-shotting most mobs
3. 4 x semi tanks (Voidwalkers or Felgaurds)
4. Most dots dont require facing target
5. Excellent wipe prevention
