So i've been 5 boxing for 1.5 weeks on the new server Cairne. Got to level 33 and i've been told countless times that i've been reported for botting. But yet i have never heard from a GM. I was actually kinda looking forward to my first chat with a GM (been playing since release and never spoke to one). So... am i just not pretty enough? Maybe it's because i constantly run my mouth in gen chat, so they know i must be there. I dunno. just wondering if you guys have gotten any GM love.

No GM chats for me yet, but I'm only level 20 right now with my boxers.
And only one person was hateful to me, most people find it awesome. Nice server. D:
lvl 68 and yet to be chatted up by a gm.
ganked plenty of horde, ran through many cities without a problem.
If you give people a quick and simple answer on what your doing, they usuaily go..ohh cool!
Or if someone says reported i just say..ohh great i have to chat with another gm, thx

So far in my escapades I haven't been chatted up yet either. :(
But all is not lost you see...we must remain strong until that day.
Ive never been speaking to a GM about my multiboxing, i dont think ive been reported ither, most people on the server know me now, sins im the only one boxing on Dunemaul ^^. But so far none, i gues when i start pwning AV i will get reported for AV bot or something, tobad people cant know everything :P

When two of my chars were stuck falling through the world (and discovering odd places might I add), no GM got back to me for about two hours. At that point I just summoned them to RFC with my remaining three guys and abandoned the ticket.
Cairne has been extremely receptive and curious about multiboxing though - here is a really funny quote from someone on that server.

I didn't hear from a GM until mid 40's. And only a few times (3?) total. Instances mostly, so my leveling was fairly quiet.

Maybe it's the more reclusive boxers like Zin was that get the GM lovin ;p That or there's so many of us now they don't even bother and just spy on us to see if we box or bot lol; or maybe, just maaaaaybe they have a spy here on the forums, keeping an eye on our sigs and screens to see who boxers are and make notes for 'em to avoid GM time-wasting issues ;p
I'm 65 on my alts now with plenty of pvp experience in both AV and world pvp, not a single GM encounter yet for boxing. I'm a pretty vocal person on my server though, joining in the stupidity of /trade chat and dancing in towns though so most people at least realize I'm not a bot hopefully ;p

I'm 56 on my Shamans, and I have yet to get a GM to contact me. I however get quite a few people telling me that I'm a bot and that I should "not make it so obvious". I take the oppostie route of you guys... I don't try to explain it very far. I just tell them to report me... but apparently they never do... wussies :)

It's possible that a GM checked out some complaints, realized that you were multi-boxing, and decided not to bother you. I haven't dealt with any GMs in regards to my multi-boxing, but I tend to stick to instances and avoid people as much as I can. The few that have seen me running around usually ask if those are my alts, and the reaction when I tell them I am multi-boxing is almost always something like "LOL cool." After that they leave me alone.
Now and then someone will follow my group for a few seconds, and once or twice I've seen someone /yell LOL losers or something like that. But I ignore that stuff and it doesn't bother me. If they are saying anything in the general chat channels I won't see it because I always have those channels off (because they are filled with 99% retard-talk most of the time).

Level 69 now... and ZERO GMs for me.
Most people just say "cool" and move on. The others I put on ignore and I think they are too lazy to do any reporting.
Then again, I found out that there is another multiboxer on my server that's been level 70 for a bit now... :)
And another up and coming level 60 multiboxer a month ago.

People are all talk, they say reported, but I really dont think they say anything.
The reason a GM might not talk to you is, say if you get reported, it takes like 4hrs to get a response from a GM, I would be sure you are logged off before the gm even responds to the ticket.

I have 13 70s, a raft of 60+ and a new group of 5 at 63 and I've only been contacted by a GM once in all that time.
<GM> (spams all 4 of my chars) Hail! Can I speak with you for a moment, please?
<me> lol...Sure. What's up?
<GM> You boxing?
<me> ayup.
<GM> OK, just checking. ;)
<me> /salute
<GM> Have fun!
Almost verbatim what he said. They know about us, and it's easy for them to verify the legit boxers.

I've been spoken to by GMs about.. 4 times now.
If you are doing quests, instances? People don't really report you when they say they are. All talk as someone mentioned.
You go into BGs (below the 70 bracket) and just dominate? oh yeah, you get reported then. Gms will take a peek. ^^
So, in my experience.. if you want a GM to convo you? Head over to the BGs for a few hours and just pewpew like crazy :D

What I get the most of after BGing it for a while are people from other servers rolling L1 alts on Stormreaver and sending me nasty tells. Most of them are very foul, and I make sure I report them if they are obnoxious.

No GM messages for me. I keep telling the "reported" folk to tell the GM I said hi in hopes they'll return the favor, but no luck.

So i fire blasted him with the 3 mages then cast my 2.5sec spells with all 5 toons while he was stunned. needless to say, it was over. looking forward to BGs.

I've been keeping track of the /tell's I get that are just simply "reported for botting". I've been msged with that 271 times since I started boxing on my server. I know there's quite a few people on horde that have reported me as well since I started engaging in World PvP with them, haven't had a GM talk to me at all yet.

I started my team of 3 at the end of Jan and they are now lvl 62 and I haven't heard from a single GM. I also haven't gotten a single harassing whisper about being reported. I've had a handful of people notice that my toons are in sync (like when we all mount up) and ask me questions but no one has been hostile towards me yet.
I'm on a PvE server and at this point only use my team for "good" so I don't expect many people mind. I try not to steal mobs at all (don't need to give them a reason to hate my team) and if I do by mistake I always apologize and offer to help them get what they need.
I also don't think many people instantly think "multi-boxer" when they see my toons since they are all different classes and not a full party of 5.
It'll be interesting to see if this trend continues throughout Outlands which is much more populated than the areas I leveled in.

I haven't talked to a GM yet either and I am all 70 now. I have been reported several times though but the most notable was the following:
In Ghostlands when I was still sub 20 I ran into someone that started asking me questions all innocent like, "How do you do it?", "What software do you use?", etc. This was soon followed with a "reported it all" message. I told the guy it was not illegal and I put him on ignore.
Time passes and the next day I get a message from the same guy on one of my alts as I still had him on ignore. He informed me that a GM responded to his ticket and told him that what I was doing was perfectly legal and not cheating in any way and he just wanted to apologize.
I nearly fell out of my chair, someone apologizing for being wrong on an online computer game? Unheard of!!!
So...
Even though the GMs haven't spoken to you yet, they would have responded to the "reporters" and educated the uninformed masses.

Two 5-box teams to 70 and the only time I've spoken to a GM is when I've reported someone else for botting lol! :P
Only 48 and iv been chatted up 3 times lol. Well one was because i reported someone and we got side tracked and started talking about Mutli-boxing and how this GM does it. Pretty cool none the less. Kinda makes me wonder if there is a GM among us *looks around*

my 5-box shammy team hasnt talked to a GM yet, but in their early "teens", one of the followers got transported to GM island. i noticed it on the other monitor and tabbed into that window, typed "/s friggen sweet! hold on, let me explore just a little bit", and then promptly got teleported back. then "/y thanks for wiping me in the middle of that pull btw........ j/k", no response :-(

Is that some sort of anti-bot test or something? Teleport ppl to GM island and see how they react then toss them back in the world if they are proven to be "real"?

This really brings up thoughts, knowing we got one of them on our side. Epic

Alas, no. I am from New Zealand and that is easily verified by checking my IP and I am fairly sure Blizzard GMs all work onsite. Although, I could be wrong, never really looked into the requirements to be a GM much.

I've never been contacted by a GM about 3/5-boxing. Which is somewhat surprising, since I get people saying they'll report me at least once a day in BG's or when I'm running around cities.
Kicksome

I have 5x level 70's that I boxed. I must have been reported at LEAST 100 times. I've never heard from a GM.
I've had sooo many people tell me they've reported me it's nuts. I've had people who saw me in BG (who I no doubt embarrassed) actually come to my server, roll alliance and then tell me that they are reporting me. lol.
Not one tell from a GM ever.

sure wished i could of found a vendor on the island, and get some cool gear, lol
