Most of this is from my (Vyndree's) point of view, but if you look carefully you can see the points where Suvega and his mages run through and tear stuff up (look for white cat mounts).

So now I know how alliance wins AV. Awesome work. WTB high res version, was hard to see the finer details when the screen was busy.

This is pretty much the ONLY way for alliance on Stormstrike to even hope to win. Horde on our battlegroup typically go all-defense, turtling in chokes like IBGY while having an time advantage on Stonehearth bunker.
As for high res -- it's currently rendering and should be uploaded once my Vimeo upload quota resets tonight. ;)

If you have the time to download the file, I'd recommend it. Vimeo upped the bar at which they stream in HD, and this one didn't sneak past that bar by a mere 6(?) pixels. Shoulda gone with 1080p instead of 720. >.<
Nice massacre! :D
Got a couple of questions if you don't mind:
First, I'm pretty sure you gonna get this a lot: Please toss up a track list for music under the video if you got time :P
Why are you taking IB GY? You get this for taking IB in our BG.

I guess our battlegroup is totally different, we mostly win, especially if we get a decent tank, but guess in the end when you all join together doesn't really matter where horde spawns, you just steamroll them.
I see you are using Shaman Friend to broadcast what Grounding totem absorbs. Is there any benefit of turning it on on all characters? Rather seam spammy to me.
I saw you are using both grid and the xperl raid frames on one of your chars, whats the reasoning behind this? I find Grid way superior to any raidframes, it also makes decursive useless. It just needs a bit of configuration to get it sexy and neat.
As last I'd like to recommend you an addon: Aloft - ace addon. Seeing you are using name plates too, this can be very helpful. You can customize name plates, for example make them appear colored depending on the players class, etc...
Overall, nice move keep them coming!

This is the most accurate representation of the horde "all-defense" strategy employed by Stormstrike. It's to the point that alliance stopped queueing because they were guaranteed a loss for 0 bonus honor. We'd queue if there was a point to it, but it ends up being a 30-45 minute waste of time.
I know some of you will shout "biased wowinsider" but until you experience it, this is about accurate.
You'll notice in my videos most of the fights are a huge mass of horde guarding graveyards. This is an accurate representation of their strat. They send near 100% of their raid to ibgy and just turtle the chokepoint. If you try through to any other graveyards like frostwolf and the relief hut, you will be hunted down. If you try to rush galv or a tower, they move half of their ibgy defense to galv, who, by the way, is very easy to get wiped on.
As long as they can cap and defend stonehearth bunker, which is far enough outside the stonehearth choke to make it difficult to defend (along with the fact that horde can cap it before we can even reach it, thus making us have to assault our own bunker instead of defending it), then they win via reinforcements because of ONE tower. 40 of us versus 40 of them turtling at a choke point with them having a 1-tower reinforcement advantage.
Our strategy was to send a team of 5 stealthers (2 druids, 3 rogues) straight to the relief hut GY as soon as possible. We also send Suvega (priest + 4 mages) + a tank to galv while the rest of us rush ibgy. We give them snowfall GY so that they are forced not to turtle. After ibgy is capped and galv is down suvega moves back to defense along with about 5-10 others with the sole purpose of recapping bunkers and leaving them ONE graveyard. (Suvega is very good at motile mass aoe)
My job is to keep IBGY because there is likely 2 more large waves of horde defense trying to recap. I can turtle in a totem farm very easily, and with selfrez I can kick them off the flag for precious moments if I need to wait for reinforcements to arrive. Once both towers near ibgy burn, the offense pushes to fwgy. This is the hardest part, because horde will turtle fwgy as well. Usually the easiest way to cap is to get fwgy while the horde are trying to recap their towers, but that typically leaves ibgy less defended from attacks and we'll end up rezzing at stonehearth. If I have to, I'll leave ibgy and bring 5 fire elementals to fwgy (usually I do this only if our stealth team has succeeded in capping the relief hut, so that ibgy getting recapped is less of a concern). If we can get ibgy, fwgy, and relief hut the horde is forced to rez outside at snowfall gy and we turn their turtle upside down.
I see you are using Shaman Friend to broadcast what Grounding totem absorbs. Is there any benefit of turning it on on all characters? Rather seam spammy to me.
Every character has it because I swap group compositions and who's on what computer often. It helps to have it on the spare shaman for when I'm playing 1 pally / 4 shammy or 1 pally / 3 shammy /1 priest.
I saw you are using both grid and the xperl raid frames on one of your chars, whats the reasoning behind this? I find Grid way superior to any raidframes, it also makes decursive useless. It just needs a bit of configuration to get it sexy and neat.
TBH, I don't use grid. Suvega's trying to teach me, but I'm used to my normal raid frames. It's there so I can get used to using it... someday.
Sounds rather frustrating, now I can understand why you haven't bothered farming honor gear. :P
On the side note, really impressive getting 2k rating with the gear you have atm. (took me some time check on the constantly crashing armory ... doh)
How is 3v3 going? I see you play with 2 ele shaman 1 holy priest. Any experience from 3 ele shaman setup? I couldn't make my mind up yet to leave my mains team to make a new team. I'm only playing 5v5 with 2 ele shamans since my main is in a high rated team for quite some time. On the clones I'm playing with another dualboxer and a holy pala, we are doing okish, hopefully kick some heavy ass soon when we get the gear fixed.

We actually bought our 3v3 teams from some full vengeful gladiator buddies. It's relatively easy to get personal rating as long as you queue late at night or early in the morning to hit the point farmers (who are also undergeared scrubs like ourselves ;) heh)
The 3 ele shaman is actually more effective than my healer group and was the first to get their personal rating up. Typically what happens is people (point farmers) just run into the fray expecting to lose and get their 10 games per week so there's not too much competition, though the shock value of a trinketed EM+CL+NS+LB is quite satisfying. Turns things into a 3v2 quite quickly. The healer group doesn't pack as much oomph so the games are a bit longer.
Every now and then you'll hit an ACTUAL geared team who's just farming off us poor point buyers, but as long as you queue with point buyer team vs point buyer team you have a pretty good chance of rolling them based on shock value alone, plus lack of preparation on their part.
I'm planning on starting my own 5v5 once I fill out a few more pieces of gear.
We just played a couple of games to get over 1850 beat some 1900ish rated team at first go and won 19 points, and got over 1850, then we were like, heck lets just play till we loose. Needless to say we met them 4 times in a row, and lost due to being cc-d to death. You know when all your clones face different way from the 1 sec fears that the tremors cant help, or when they stop following all the time because of random cc.
Think I'm gonna start a 3v3 team next week and see how it goes in the morning before university/work :D

So far on Stormstrike I've seen Mudd (5 locks, horde, Scillia), Suvega (obviously... 1 priest / 4 mage, ally, Archimonde), Fii / Fye / Fò / Fùm (4 shaman, horde, Haomarush), and myself (5 shaman, ally, Archimonde).
