I hate these numbering systems. Sounds like a downgrade to me. I am sure a quick stop by Tom's would get me up to speed with the relative level of GPU performances.

i use that, as a reference too: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html
The chart shows the cards as equal.
But if the 6990 is two cards on one board, while the 680 is not... that is a stronger option for boxing.

Im currently running 2x GTX 580 SLI. most times i get 140+ FPS (sitting around target dummys), but on big fights i get bad lag. When i load up im sitting at around 1,100 mb out of 1,500mb VRAM usage but i know when i get into bgs / play for more than 20 minutes seems to get up to 1,300-1,400 but not maxed out to 1,500. I set the voltage up to 1.050v which made the crashes all stop.
Basically here is reason on post. . .was thinkin about upgrading to 2x GTX 680 or even 690. Do you all think this would fix my problems.
Current setup, 2x ASUS GTX580 SLI, i7 990x, 32gb Ram,
Runnin Isboxer with 15 WoW's all on lowest settings at 1920x975 resolution.
Also running on DX9, would DX11 be any better?

I think you have a VRAM issue, and yes 690s will help. I have the same issue, I have SLI 570s and I hit a wall with lots of spell effects, and I'm pretty sure it's VRAM. I'm waiting for the 4GB cards myself, I figure it couldn't hurt...

i also need to try to sell my gtx580s to someone, if any one is interested im lookin to put them together for $400. they are ASUS GTX 580s. paid $500 individually for the cards so i fig $200 a card should be a good price.

I would try it, the benefit of DX11 over DX9 in WoW is mostly that DX11 utilized the GPU more. Its more efficient if your card has the hardware to render in DX11. At least from what I read about it :)

If you don't physically have the ram on the video card, for DX11, then use DX9.
If you do have sufficient ram on the card, most would go with the DX11.
I believe the break point was 1.25GB or less, for a five boxer, meant DX9 was superior.
But as a five-box, if you have more than 1.25GB, then DX11 is probably the way to go.
Not sure on a ten-box, but I'd assume ten is twice the resources of five... meaning 2.50GB or less would force you to use DX9.
