View Full Version : Odd Constant Disconnect Issue

I'm having the most frustrating time determining why I am constantly disconnecting (from only WoW, not the internet). Perhaps one of you can help me. A few facts that will hopefully be of assistance:

I have 0 internet connection issues outside of WoW.
I have no issues running 1 or 2 instances of WoW, it's only when I started boxing 3 or more that the problem arose.
My internet speed is more than capable of running multiple instances of the game (100 mbps fibre optic line).
In another thread I couldn't find again, someone suggested ticking off the "Optimize network for speed" button...already had it ticked.
Processor speed/RAM/etc aren't the issue. I built the watercooled rig myself and its fast....well OK...it was 8 months ago at least...but if 32gb of RAM or 4 gb of VC RAM (2gbx2) is the issue...damn.
I got rid of all overclocking...didn't help.
I'm using autohotkey to control the slave accounts.
I disable all addons other than the latest version of Jamba (just downloaded a few hours ago).
(what I think might be the key bit of evidence) Only the slave accounts disconnect. The master account stays online. Is there some reason the game is having the slave accounts afk out even though they are running around lightning bolting all mobs in sight?

Please help. /beg

Have you tried without Jamba just to eliminate that as a possibility? If it's Jamba that's doing it, it may be as simple as changing some of the settings under Jamba > Core:Communications, such as setting a new channel and password or disabling Boost Jamba to Jamba Communications

I haven't done a Jambaless run. Suppose I should've. Will give that a go after work or maybe even during lunch. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll poke back in to say how it went either way. Also, just read that thread you linked and noticed I was supposed to turn off optimize networtk, not turn it on /mockself. Will give that a go as well.

Any other suggestions to try would be appreciated.

Got something bound to ALT+F4?

Got something bound to ALT+F4?

Nope.

Also just completed a test. It isn't Jamba, AutoHotKey, or the optimize network option.

All those disabled and still had the same problem. All 4 accounts logging out at the same time.

Any other suggestions?

Can you test another router?

Sometimes they just break. WoW does alot more than regular internet surfing, so its possible the problem only shows up then.

I had disconnect problems, only in WoW. After trying tons of workarounds from blizzard tech support I decided to replace everything, and a new router fixed it.

I've been getting disconnected often from my server(Proudmoore), maybe once an hour. Always thought it was due to being on a high pop server.
