View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Annoying broadcast issue

The issue I'm having is that at random, my main window will lose the broadcast ability to the other windows. This doesn't seem to affect the keymaps that are send next click actions. Only when I try to activate mouse repeater.

Is this an issue with jamba? Is it just missing something when I slot activate too quickly or in the middle of another action? I've tried to reset the jamba setup by slot activating again, only to go back to the main toon and see broadcast still not working.

It also will not fix itself by exporting settings to isboxer, which I believe clears all cache data?

I'm not sure what this would have to do with Jamba. Jamba doesn't deal with broadcasting keys or mouse.

Then it's gotta be an IS issue. The game reloads when you resurrect or go to ghost form, so something is being dropped there. No idea what.

The only way to fix it is to close all game clients and re-open them. Don't have to close IS.

The only way to answer a question about why your particular configuration would do something wrong/unexpected, is to see your configuration..

HOWTO: Share your configuration for better support (http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=13)

Generally speaking, the only time I hear about issues with Send Next Click is when people use a mouse button to initiate it. Like using Mouse5 as the Hotkey that kicks off the spell. This can eat the "Send Next Click" function, whereas using a keyboard key as the Hotkey will not.

Are you on your main window, click mouse repeater, and NOT see the actual mouse movement in the slave windows? If so, I think thats fairly common. Mine sometimes shows the mouse and sometimes doesnt. It used to, a year ago... however Ive upgraded a lot. No telling what it could be. Regardless, its moving so... aint broke, dont fix

That's exactly the problem.

Lax,

If it were configuration why is it sporadic? It happens sometimes across all 4 slaves, the other times on one or two. It always seems to happen when WoW forces a graphical reload such as on resurrection.

Note: I'm usually in repeat mode at the exact moment the button is clicked to enter a battleground or to take a rez. My guess is that it happens right at that moment with repeater on or just turning off. Something of that nature is causing the repeat fail.

That's exactly the problem.

I figured as much. Several of us have noticed this too.

To put your mind at ease, nothing (to my knowledge) within ISBoxer has been changed in regarding mouse broadcast. Could be something to do with screen resolutions with WoW itself.

Just seeing if there are similarities with some of the others.. do you also get the "ISBoxer needs to change your screen resolution for account XXXXX, there is no in game resolution set for WoW" ... (or something like that.) and you click ok, and be done with it?

Nope, don't get that one. Not that I remember anyways. All my windows are set to the same resolution so nothing is forced.

Done. Had to replace some sensitive information used in key map titles but it's all hidden now.

Not sure what it could be in the configuration. This problem by the way has gone on far longer than I've been using advanced step macros and click bars.

The problem that Apps is describing is not configuration related, and also does not prevent the broadcasting from working... the fake cursor just does not show sometimes. THIS problem is actually solved in the development build of Inner Space -- but it will not fix the issue you're asking about, see below for that. The dev build should also fix the issue some people have where the cursor will not properly reset after mouselook (often reported as "clicking centers the mouse"). To try the dev build, right click IS and select Patcher, check "Download development (test) patches" and then close and restart Inner Space to let it patch up.

The problem you're experiencing may be related to toggling Repeater while having Send Next Click or a Repeater Region active. What is probably happening is you're getting the Repeater Target changed (which is where it broadcasts to), and it's not configured to reset except when you do an Export or reload.

The newer Key Maps that get generated by the Quick Setup Wizard (yours were originally created by ISBoxer 39 or 38) solve this by having a Repeater Target Action (http://isboxer.com/wiki/Repeater_Target_Action) as the first Action in Activate Repeat (your Alt+` hotkey). Meaning that if you were to create a brand new profile and run the Quick Setup Wizard and create your teams again, this problem is automatically solved, and should not exist for new installations.

Here's how you can add this reset to your current configuration:
1. In the top left pane in ISBoxer, under Key Maps, select Control
2. In the bottom left pane, under Mapped Keys, expand Activate Repeat so under it you see Steps, 1 and 2
3. Select the 1 under Steps, so on the right you see Step, Actions, and a few things under it (Repeater mouse On keyboard On -> self, etc)
4. In the bottom right pane, right click Actions and, under Repeater Actions, select New Repeater Target Action
5. For the "Target" box, select Window:Current
6. For "New Repeater Target", select "Window:All w/o Current"
7. Do not check "Block buttons from originating window"
8. You will need to move this new Action to the TOP of this Step (so "Repeater Target 'all other' -> self" appears first in the top-down list of Actions). You can do so via right click, Move Up, or select the Action and press Alt+Up a few times (many things in the ISBoxer organizational trees can be re-ordered the same way)
9. Export to Inner Space

.. and that's why it helps to see your configuration. :)

Enjoy

Said it before... I'll say it again.

^^ all that.... is why I have ZERO issue with paying for a subscription to ISBoxer.

Ok, that makes sense.

I didn't take into consideration the builds. Funny thing is, I used to have IS configured to automatically pull from the development server. It got unchecked somehow!

I'll look into this and post back the results. Thanks!
