5 man heroics in PVP Gear?

I have a team of 4x shamen and 1x Pally. I have done some pvp with the team and absolutely hate shamen for pvp compared to DKs :mad:

But I know that pvp is easier way to earn points (honor or converted justice). Can you pve successfully wearing pvp gear or is it worth converting my honor to justice points to gear the team up in pve gear?

The difference in dps with a full pve set compared to pvp gear is just amazing. BUT, most fights (including trash) is either just a zerg or you can cc everything but 1 or 2-3 mobs and take them down easily. I run heroics with my 4x ele sham team and prot pally fairly easily. Some fights are difficult but you get that.

So yea, if you earn honour really easily, convert to start with, then start farming your VP for awesome pve gear. And run LFR as well, the drops in there will help heaps.

I've actually tanked heroics on my DK in PvP gear. He got hit a little harder than normal but eh, not terribly different.

The difference on my arms warrior from PvP gear to PvE gear is probably 20%.

There are really lame moments in the twilight heroics that will leave you wanting to quit the game. Like Echo of Sylvannas or Queen Azshara. I swear last night one of my hunters was insta-killed by Sylvannas black arrow followed by blighted arrows. I couldn't survive that even if I was on him the entire time.

It will be like that sometimes. Just gotta soak it up.

People have successfully cleared most (maybe all) heroics, quite a while ago in pvp gear.
That was with a Pally & 4x DK team... with the DK's in Blood spec.

Current PvP gear is better than what was used for those clears.

That's because DKs self heals scale with how hard they get hit do they not?

Probably had more to do with the 15k+ additional HP afforded to him and the fact he couldn't be critically hit anyways.

Would have been a bigger deal in wrath I suspect.
