OS3D 25 with a 5 man team?

Has anyone been farming os3d 25 man with a 5 man team? What strategy and comp are you using? What ilevel gear?

Pally healer - 4 dks all frost.

doing around 15-20k dps and he goes down right around the time the 1st add lands or around when the first lava churns.

Full pvp gear - 380ish

Sorry this was on 10 man and not 25... you can do it in 10 and get the mount everytime.

I actually just solod Maly in Eye of Eternity also.. Word of advice do not summon Army of Undead during first phase. That Azure Drake (http://www.warcraftmounts.com/mounts/azuredrake.php) is my new favorite.

Not everyone in a raid was pulling 4-5k when sarth 3D was current content. You'd probably need around 60-80k raid dps (i'm saying this without actually knowing the boss his hp amount), which sounds doable with lust / cd's / pots.

Yeah I did 10 man last year, I was curious about 25.

Someone on reddit was talking about five manning it with a dk tank and four dps... and I thought "if the idiots on reddit can do it..."

I 7 manned it with 2 mates, 1 prot pally, 4 ele shams, 1 arc mage, 1 MM hunter. JUST got it, was last patch so my dps peaked at like 21k. Might give it another go soon seeing as i can peak above 30k dps now

I tried it with my 10 box team a few months ago, but that was when they were all fresh bumpkins in greens. Should give it another whirl - it would be a grand way to make some cash.

Av manged to do it 10 man but my warlocks just have not the dps to get it down before the ads come. i can do it with 10 warlocks though, not that am 10 boxing on live servers.

I don't even know the 'standard' tactics as I started to play wow after it was current content. We went in and nuked the living shit out of it iirc.

10man is crazy ez with 5mages, i've went in and nuked sarth without clearing the trash b4 (sometimes die after sarth does) on 25man it's doable as long as i have one tankish person with me to keep sarth off of me for the first 30seconds, he goes down pretty quick, granted 10 is a lot easier and easily done with just my 5mages, the money you get for doing 25 makes it worth the 10minutes it takes. haven't tried maly 25 solo (not really solo, but u guys know what i mean) me and pretz (a 10box guildy) he took a 5man team (paly 4dk) and my 5mages, we nearly killed maly in phase 1 in 10man, id say 25 would be doable too with little help, but well worth the trouble for the loots (disenchants and gold) and the mounts. for some reason tho, i have noticed that ony is quite a bit tougher, my dps is a lot lower on ony for some reason, i don't know why though, maybe he has some arcane resist or something.

Standard was where a tank took sarth, and the dps killed the small drakes 1 by 1 as they landed then turned on sarth. Each drake that landed brought a different hazard to the fight. I tried the zerg 7 man and killed sarth 25man in 346 gear so i am not surprised 5 372s were able to down him. Might even give him a go this reset as my shams are 390 roughly now, i'll let you guys know.

Malygos will go down to 1hp in first phase maximum. Its the best way to deal with phase 3. Dps Maly to roughly 52% and wait for a tempest swirly thingy. Start dpsing as soon as he gets ready to do it (should hopefully get him to 45% or so). Then when he lands blow hero and cds and nuke him as much as possible before he flies off. Clean up adds then hopefully you can kill in P3 with your drakes before he nukes them all

Might be doable with 5 mages with some current VP gear. Here's the link to my old video, 10 mages vs OS3D25. Keeping in mind that the "new mages" were mostly in blue gear ;)

You can do this with 5 in 25 man mode but you have to play it like old school days where you kill the drakes as they land. Each drake only hast 384k hp so you can down them really quickly.

Basically you open on sarth pop lust all CD's and burn her to 50% kill Tenebron you get about 40 more seconds on sarth, kill vesp and you can usually kill her after that if not kill the other one and finish her. She goes immune when the portal opens and the third one lands if you are too slow on killing the drake preportal you have to enter the portal with one dps and kill the add in there. That highly complicates the fight but I have done it regularly with: Blood DK, Destro lock, Surv hunter, Ret pally and Attonement spec Disc priest. They are all pulling 30k+ DPS I generally drive from the ret on this one so that I can do decent dps on her. I have 4 piece shadow LFR gear and alot of DPS gear on my Disc so she even does 15k dps.

Avoid the fire waves and the fight is not too difficult. Let the waves hit you and you will most likely get too far behind on healing and wipe.

I went into 10 man yesturday with 3 dks, (2 frost and a tank). I killed him as the first drake was landing. DPS around 18k each.

I don't think you would have the DPS for three drakes with tank heal dps, tank double dps would prolly work on 10 man

still a difficult fight with all the adds. need atleast 4 dps imo...maybe 5.

Blitz through it before heroism runs out with 10 ele shaman no problem.

Sometimes you get shat on by RNG (waves and shadow things) but the guy only has 3million health, come on chaps, it's not that hard :D

You can do that with 4 ele shams on 10 man too, try it 25 man with 10 shams imo :P
