View Full Version : How can I change keybinds quickly?

Does anyone know if there is a quick way to change my keybind layouts?

For example, when I am PvPing on my hunter solo there's a lot of abilities I want handy that are absolutely useless when I am multiboxing doing PvE or whatever.

Will Dominos change all that with profiles or is the info kept server-side?

FWIW, I'm on a Mac - please no "ISBoxer does it" answers or whatever . :D

move your abilities to macros in the Game Helper>worldofwarcraft>macrosets>quicksetup38

keep mulitple flavors of isboxer profiles

example

solo
pvp-team1
pve-team1
pvp-team2
pve-team2
etc...

You could try setting a few keybinds.
Exiting out of the game.
Backing up your WTF folder.

Then changing a few more.
And repeating the process.
And then loading the first WTF folder.
And seeing if keybinds are stored there.

I know all of the UI Elements are stored that way.
Not sure on keybinds.
If they're server side, then this won't help you.
If they're part of the WTF, you could paste the correct folder and then launch Wow.

If you set up spam keys that /click ActionButton#, you can simply change pages in the button bar as needed.

Why would that be funny? Do you know what he's talking about?

See if Macaroon will do it. It's a macro action bar addon. I haven't used it for aaages but it may do what you are looking for.

I think this is going to be the best.

You have stuff on various bars.
And then have the few buttons you click (macros that call the other bars)...
And drag the relevant ones to the keys you spam.

It might not be hotkeys precisely.
Where Shift H is one thing for PvE and different for PvP...
But you could drag an ability onto a bar or off of a bar, with the keybind not changing.

I suppose you could go with multiple specs.
Except that the two specs are the same role.

Elemental Shaman PvP = spec 1.
Elemental Shaman PvE = spec 2.

That gets you different bars, etc...

It looks to me like he's talking about Isboxer. I specifically said I am on a Mac and anything having to do with Isboxer is worthless to me.

I was hoping he was trying to be funny because the alternative is he just wastes his time and others by answering posts without bothering to read them.

Its not like the OP is a wall of text. Four sentences. One of them was intended to save the time and effort of people who would write about doing things in software I will never use.

I agree. Dominos (I think) lets you put conditionals one when/if a page shows, and if nothing else its a snap to just change the page. The /click suggestion was awesome- going to try that. Thanks a bunch.

Also - for anyone else reading this - come to think of it - I think Bindpad might be part of the solution too. Maybe I can put the /click macros there. That, or if I recall, Bindpad has various configurations you can set up that show up as tabs along the side...

Anyway, I'm much further along the way to finding a good solution. Thanks again.
