Curious how ppl are handling these. I've just tried the FP Athiss and the beast of vodal is wiping my team of 4 sentinels every time. They are well equipped with gear, Stims, medpacks, ect.
I think the main problem is that he calls in several waves of adds that are pretty strong. At level 23 i don't last very long.
Im thinking of making it so that I can leave 2 of my toons attacking the boss, while I control my other 2 toons taking out the adds. Got a couple ideas of how to do this.
In the mean time, what have you guys been doing? Mosg2, if you read this post... did you ever do Athiss with your warriors?
I am also running into an issue with adds on bosses or many adds on a champion mob. I think my issue is do to keymap in-efficiencies.
I also am trying to work a way to where i can turn off assist and follow per sets of toons or specific toons to also be able to do something like suggested. But currently i have a mixed team, Guardian, Gunnery Commando, Shadow, and a Sage Healer.
I think i may switch to a Vanguard, 2 Gunnery Commandos and a Sage healer. That may help out my keymaps better.

What level are your toons at? Have you done any flashpoints yet? I'm thinking of making a mixed group, but you've got a completely mixed group which is awesome! How has it been going?
My current mixed set of toons is level 40. I have done several FPs on the Republic side, Esseless which is a joke, Hammer Station, and Athiss. I have not done any since then however.
I really dislike running half ranged/half Melee. But since their so close i need to finish off their leveling to 50. I will be making a new group which i will already have leveled to 50 pretty much.
1 Vanguard, 2 Gunnery Commando and 1 Sage.
However im in a dilemma, i as i do not know 100% if i want a vanguard or Guardian, as i will have both, then i do not know if i want Range Sages or Gunnery Commandos as DPS. Currently the burst of a Gunnery commando is much more then a Sage, imo. The caveat to that is i have never seen the DPS output of a fully spec'ed telek sage.
As for the healer i swear by Sage now, there just to OP for what they do as a healer. However, i've never raided as a Sage, i do to this date raid on my Combat Medic actively. They remind me of a Paladin in WoW, as we are amazing single target healers, but AoE has no room to talk compared to Sage.

Sorry to keep grilling you meeo but I'm trying to get some idea of a multiboxing benchmark. Do ou remember what level you were when you beat Athiss? I couldn't get past the beast of vodal at level 24 with my 4 sentinels. Once I know something is possible, Im more willing to devote time and effort to accomplish it.
For my 4 agents, I've 2 operatives and 2 snipers just at level 12 so we'll see how that goes. I think that I'm going to level up 2 BH powertechs to tank for my two operatives, but who knows. I might go crazy and do only one powertech and one sorc. For now I'm going to play around with my agents.
Hey sorry for the delay, wasnt watching the forums as closely as i usually this week due to playing rift again. Splitting time between SWTOR til 1.2 and Rift is getting crazy.
However, the beast was probably the harder encounters i had to do with my mixed team out of the flashpoints i ran. My weak point with my current team is the improper setup of my keymaps or i should say in-efficiencies with how they are setup. I had to basically make new ones for this boss. I did it at level 25-26 i think. I had to unlink my follow and change how my assist works for all my keymaps which was a pain and basically had my ranged stand together and i piloted my Shadow and Guardian independently. I only moved my guardian into range of my healer to keep him alive, especially with the Knockback.
Guardian had to stay on the beast, i tried to keep his back to a wall, and i used my shadow as an off-tank for all the adds. All the DPS assisted the my shadow, and my healer didn't dps at all. It was a painstaking fight but its do-able. After doing it, you may not need to use 2 tanks, key points to remember is that Adds need to die ASAP, and if you use only 1 tank when you try to run at the adds and they are in your group, the beast usually knockbacks right as i tried to grab the adds with my guardian and threw my guys all over the place, hence why i went with using the shadow to offtank and grab the adds.
Good thing to do for this is to make sure you have the highest possible barrels/hilts and armorings on all your gear, i initially didnt, and once i did i was doing a bit more dps. Note: i wiped on this boss so many times i left and came back over the course of a few days, and i could of used some 50s for help, but i opted to learn it the hard way.
I still have an issue with my keymaps and clickbars that i need to figure out.

MEEO! The above post is so helpful!!! I'm finally starting to get this stuff. Did I mention SWTOR is my first MMO and that I havent raided at all solo. Info like this is exactly what I need. Thanks for taking the time.
