So they are still advertising the year signup for Diablo 3 and "access to the next Beta" , I am wondering are they really talking about MoP or for the next expac after MoP. Anyone recently signed up and gotten access?

By annual contract do they mean what I did to get Diablo 3 for free?

You will, but not sure which portion of beta.
Towards the end, they'll be doing stress testing and almost everyone will be in at that stage.
Prior to that, who can say?

They said there are letting people in based on how long they have had active accounts and when they purchased the annual pass. So anyone signing up now will be the last to get in I'm sure. I think I waited a few weeks or so before i did the annual pass.
I am participating in the World of Warcraft Annual Pass promotion; when do I begin testing?
We’re inviting Annual Pass holders in waves over the course of the beta test, and will be ramping up the number of invites we send as quickly as possible. We’ll be inviting Annual Pass holders based on several factors, including how long your World of Warcraft account has been active and when you signed up for the Annual Pass. Keep an eye on your Battle.net account and email for your invite to join the beta test.
I just checked my bnet and I am in 8) woot!

We heard you like invites so we put an invite in your invite so you can beta while you beta.
This is a short but sweet update that we're sending an additional 100,000 invites out tonight, for a total of 200,000 Mists of Pandaria invites being sent out today. Again, it will take a while for the invites to process so we recommend keeping an eye on your games list through Battle.net Account Management, as we expect invites to continue going out into the wee hours of the night and into tomorrow.
For more information on the invite process as a whole please refer back to today's earlier announcement: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4253902117

Isn't an early active date and yearly contract exactly that?

exactly.. early annual pass purchase is key. But they said they will make sure everyone with the pass gets in before they do any opt ins.

So I decided to check how old my accounts are... I forgot that I got rid of my early account (before I boxed) so I could create 5 new accounts and use the RaF bonus. I don't even remember the login name for my old account :( Guess I get in much later since 2008 is pretty new as far as wow accounts go.

I would have to say I am a bit disappointed with the promise of the MOP beta if you signed up with the annual pass. My account has been active since 7/13/2005 and I signed up for the annual pass during Blizzcon last year when they announced the D3/Beta offering back in October. I have not received a beta invite for either D3 or Mists.

There has been hundreds of these kind of threads on mmo.
It happens when it does, alot didnt get, there will be a new wave shortly again, I am sure, but regardless you will get in soon, as they will keep rolling the waves and there is only 4 beta servers up anyway atm.
It won't happen over night, But it will happen :P

I won't be playing beta even if i get an invite, I love to keep everything new and a surprise until release, that way i don't get gradual tastes of it instead of 1 big hit and i don't experience the frustration of lag which will prob ruin it for me

Ugh that sucks, I got D3 beta and I really wasn't looking forward to getting it. But MoP beta, now thats something!
