Am I reading this correctly? We're going to have viable aoe with multiboxing now?

I started a Knight/Consular duo on PTS. I can't tell any difference when the smart camera is either on or off. Maybe it's not fully implemented yet.

OK, messed around with this today. This is what it looks like to me.

With smart camera on: pivot camera around in front of you (left-mouse click/drag), then start running. Camera swings around behind you again.

With smart camera off: the camera stays in front of you when you start running and does not pivot back around behind you.

It doesn't seem to do anything for characters on /follow (like I hoped it would), but maybe they are still working on it *fingerscrossed*

It's about time. This feature bugged the hell out of me in WoW when I first started till I figured out how to turn it off. Guild Wars was the same way and I hated it, but they still have yet to allow you to turn it off. Tho it has been a while since I played GWs now, this might have finally changed.

What they need to do is fix follow so that the "follower" is always facing forward like in all other MMOs. This maybe the worst follow in all games. EQ the original had it best. WoW is okay. Even Rift is better than this.

Generally, my follower faces the correct direction. It's just that the camera doesn't swing around behind him.

That being said, on the Test Server, /follow is having some issues in the 1.2 patch. It's breaking in far more places than is does on the Live servers. Hopefully it's just a short-term glitch and will get fixed.

Another problem currently on the Test server is that your character turns when healing. It turns to face the heal target. This is causing me problems when I see my healer on the secondary screen is standing in a red circle and needs to move, I have no idea what direction they will move when I hit my arrow keys. It's very annoying and lots of people are complaining about it on the forums, so hopefully that will get sorted out too.

3/29 1.2 update-
The game camera no longer moves itself when Smart Camera is toggled off.

Is it REALLY working now?

Still no luck :(

Camera still acts the same way on /follow as it always has, regardless of the Smart Camera being on or off :(

Mid- to Late-April last I heard. Not sure if that was an official date, or a date they hoped to launch it
