Due to the big lack of guides for beginners on the internet demonstrating how to code your own addons I'm considering starting a weekly "Lua for Beginners" thread on the forums which will start you off with the basics of Lua programming within WoW and hopefully lead to more advanced programming depending on your previous knowledge.
I'm just trying to see if this would intrest any of you or is there any of you that have programming knowledge and would like to learn to make your own addons?
The aim of this guide would be to hopefully bring more Multiboxer addon creators/developers to the scene to hopefully build new addons we can use to help us multibox better.
Please only post constructive replys, I don't simple want to see any Yes or No answers.....

I'd love that really. I have to admit I quit searching for guides/howto's fairly fast when I considered writing some things. But I would definately be interested in reading/following those kind of tutorials.
Forum's good, but I think Wiki would be better. Then maybe post a forum topic to discuss the wiki addition for the week and draw attention to it. Forum entries, even very good ones, will naturally drift away as more recent posts come about.

hehe great idea :) keen to learn myself, plus it would stop me from posting threads asking for help with scripts all the time :P

We already have a Category for guides @Falkor can you add [[Category:Guides]] anywhere in the text of the articles?

I'd also like to put my hand up and say I think this is a great idea. I'd love to learn LUA as well.
Cheers,

Yes, i would love to see it, and try lua coding myself.
No , You mentioned reworking a Multibox toolkit Addon i would prefer to see that done first :p

Since I already know a great deal of LUA programming this would be almost effortless to say the least on my part.
So expect to see both updates to my existing projects and the multibox project + an lua guide :)

I dabble in LUA, the majority of my coding has been Perl, Javascript and ugh! VBscript. So I am looking forward to your series. Unfortunately I have probably brought a lot of bad habits from other languages into my code ;)
