I foresee some difficulty in that your classes have totally different types of pools (mana, rage, runic power and energy). Also, your combo moves will have to be activated separately to your other classes attacks.

There are folks who have done similar multi-class setups for casters; I can't see how this would be any more complicated aside from having to move around a bit more.
I'd go with the paladin for the tank, though I'm sure you could switch between tank classes depending on the mechanics of whichever fight you're in. Each brings its own strengths to the encounter. ;)
3 plate wearers but you could alleviate that problem by making one tank, one DPS, on heals

I really don't see shared armor classes as a problem. Having a blacksmith will alleviate gear gaps and even if you only had one plate wearer, I'd still suggest a BS because they can also make shields, weapons and belt buckles that any class would want. Even if you don't use a BS, once you get toward max level, you can also supplement with rep and points gear.
Gearing through drops is a pretty small part of it. Boxing a full team means we can chain run things as long as we want to get what we're looking for. And with the way the dungeon finder works these days, you'll probably be running the same dungeon more times than you can stand anyway.
As far as the classes themselves, I know all of them have been boxed. People are generally pretty "meh" about the rogue {and cat druids} because of dealing with combo points, but it can still be done, either by estimating a reliable average for combo points and working it into a macro or if you have ISBoxer you can use VideoFX to display the combo points. Warrior DPS was pretty reactive, too from what I've heard.
Paladin tanking is still pretty easy to manage, I hear DK tanking is also not too bad. Ret paladins currently have a lot of randomness going on with the Holy Power mechanic, Divine Purpose and Art of War. I use UH DK for DPS and that's pretty easy to manage since it's pretty much just a matter of dropping DCs all over the place. Enhancement Shamans aren't that bad since all you have to worry about is MW procs and most people just dump them with /stopcasting /cast Lightning Bolt in a multistep macro.
From my experience, the problems with melee are pretty universal and not really class/spec based. Runaways, positioning/movement, getting stuck, falling off into an abyss, AOEs in the face, etc, depending on what you plan to do with them.
But anything you do now is subject to change with the new expansion. Melee was a lot more fun in Wrath. Cata made it pretty tedious and frustrating. MoP could make it fun again, or it could make it worse depending on the direction they take.

Of those, I'd go with Pally tank...
Because that's very easy to one-button macro-mash.
Which is a lot less attention needed on your part.
A DK or Warrior would work, but you'd need a lot more attention on their screen.
That said, the DK and Warrior will then be DPS specs.
I like the Frost DK's, in my 1x Paladin + 4x Frost DK team.
I'd imagine you could go Fury on the Warrior, with either a two-step castsequence http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/32633-Mecurio-s-Cataclysm-Multiboxing-Macros http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/33870-Mercurio-s-Cataclysm-Macros-at-85
http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/32456-Cataclysm-Multiboxing-Macros (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/32456-Cataclysm-Multiboxing-Macros) or a pseudo-priority system http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/37658-My-4x-Frost-DK-Paladin-Setup-Based-on-DK-Manifesto like my DK's use.
Since the Paladin is the tank, that means the Shaman has to heal.
Which is fine, because they're a great PvE healer with Earth Shield, Riptide and all the fun totems.
The Rogue has Combo Points, which are hard to use efficiently.
You could use a video feed, and manually push a finisher move button once you had however many you want for a given ability.
You could also approximate combo points, either going when they'll often have 5... which means they might not have that much (Ferals have a random chance at 2 CP's instead of 1, I'd imagine the rogue is similar) always... or alternatively go when they're guaranteed to have 5 CP's (which means sometimes, that's 1-2 moves that generate CP's before a finisher... and some lost DPS).
If the rogue is Combat, then facing (being behind the mob) is not a requirement...
Although if you put the other melee behind a boss that is a huge benefit.
Thanks for the links and inputs. I always wanted to have 10 different classes. 5 Long range and 5 Melee. Once mastered I'll play them at the same time in 10 mans :)

Given sufficient determination, any composition will be possible. There is still this stench around the community that certain things just won't work. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it can't be done. And done with considerable amount of finesse I hasten to add. Keep an open mind.

I don't think there's any sort of "stench". Every class and every spec has been used in any number of compositions by this point.
Diwa specifically asked for what the potential issues will be for that class composition and not one person said anything about any one of his choices being impossible or even said anything about a different class being better. The issues were listed, as were many options for working around them.
As with anything around here, if someone runs across specific issues, there's usually someone ready to post a way to resolve it. Multiboxers are experimental by default. If we weren't the type of people that think outside the box as it were, then at best we'd all still be running around with Tankadin + 4x Ele Shamans and at worst we'd all be playing solo toons and screaming about bots and hackers on the forums while whining about how there's never any tanks and healers.
