I have no issues at all with my main system (3930k box) I am in the process of putting together a decent spare so i can box when im at work. Here is what i have so far

i5 2500k
16gb kingston hyperX ram
asrock extreme4 p67
thermalright u120ex HSF
enermax galaxy 1250w psu (overkill i know, but i had as a spare for my main will get a 600w or so at some point)

My main question is in the GFX card, Im looking at either the GTX 560Ti 1gb, 560ti 2gb, or the 560ti 448core 1.2gb I would concider an ATI card, I'm sure they are great, i'm jst used to NVidia snice i've used them for years, i tried ati back when the 4870x2 was new and had a bad experience with it. Any input you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. If you have reasons over opinions, or even some hands on experience with the 560's let me know, i haven't used any of them. all i know for sure is that the 560ti is on the gf114 die using all cores, and the 448core edition is a gf110 (570&580 die with some cores disabled)

Thanks again

I think it really comes down to this (assuming you're playing 5 clients):

If you want to use DX11 you'll want, at the very least, 1.2GB of VRAM.
If you want to use DX9 you'll need no more than 1GB of VRAM.

I have no opinions on AMD cards. ;)

No experience with the 560 series, but I have a 5850 and GTX460 (both running identical mainboards, RAM and i7-2600k) and the ATI box suffers wierd graphics artifacting and a raft of compatibility issues with older games. My NVidia will occasionally show a zbuffer glitch in a couple of older DX9 games but it is far more stable and maintains a much better minimum framerate. This is just my experience, so take it as such. I'm sure others with equally small sample sizes can point to the opposite happening. /shrug

anyone have any experience with the 560 vs 560Ti? I know there are about 50 cores difference between them, and the memory size difference. When your talking 334 vs 38X cores that seems to be a substantial difference. I really wish they had more 2gb ti's to choose from and the price isn't that appealing on them either. May just go for the 448 core version (i know its a different die all together) but the performance boost seems worth the $30 bump in price. but for a few more i could bump to a full 570, i'm really at a loss here. Anyone that has a 560 ti 1gb, what settings are you able to pull off with 5 clients? i usually keep all on lowest (even resolution) but veiw distance up a bit on lead.

BTW. the rig im upgrading currently has 2 GTX 280's NON SLI. one card per monitor, works fine, but since it's in a p67 id really like to go to a single card, that would make it easier to pack around, since i'll be using it to box when i go to work (usually 3-4 days at a time) my home box is solid, but i'd like to keep performance relatively the same as far as my bg's go
