has anyone leveled a team to 50ish without doing class quests? With the intention of doing them last? I love 4boxing but i hate doing the class quests more than twice... especially the longer ones. I am thinking about leveling via FPs and WZs..with occasional heroic quest farming. Once I hit 48 or so I will then suffer through the CQs, maybe one at a time.. starting with my tank..then healer then the dps. Just take my time with it. It seems like this might be a waste of time.. but for me, i can fly through instances and or heroic quests.. but when i hit the instanced part of CQs, i slow down to a crawl. At 48 or even 50 i will be able to ride mounts to them all and clear them in seconds. Is this even possible?

At a bare minimum you have to do enough class quests to get your spaceship; myself I use all my companions to run gathering missions while my team is out blasting a new hole in the world.

I have a merc alt that I am leveling through PVP and Flashpoints. Every 5-7 levels or so I will jump down to a planet and only do the class quests.

Should be completely doable even without the spaceship. You can access all the FPS and WZ content from the space station hub. I don't believe there is a CQ requirement for the FPs. Having your ship though will help speed up leveling since you can 4box the space missions with mouse broadcasting.

How is the XP from FPS and WZ alone?

I tried 2boxing some space missions last weekend. There was enough lag that the secondary screen sometimes failed the mission (either didn't destroy enough objectives or ran into to many asteroids and got destroyed). Anyone else run into this when multi-boxing space missions? Is there a workaround to help alleviate the lag?

same for me.. my 3 alts fail. I'm sure it is a lag thing.

FPs are not faster than questing.. thats for sure. I just enjoy them. If you win in WZs its good exp.

Spacebar bro spacebar, lol. Once you start spacebarring it really shortens up questing.

I've been wondering the same thing too with the space missions. I'm wanting to dualbox SW to run my own healer since this early in the game, they're hard to come by with a tank driving. Wasn't sure how the space missions you can solo work out if you're in a group with other people as I've only played a couple of the starting ones so far.

I did a total of 7 space missions 2-boxed last Saturday. In 3 of them, the secondary account failed, while the primary succeeded. So it does work sometimes, but it is really dependent on how much lag the secondary box is experiencing. In my case it was pretty slight, but noticeable.

I'm ok with normal questing.. I'm talking about the instanced portion of class quests. you have to do them for each toon. Some of them are long.

If you've done the quest inside the instances before and want to skip through them, this works. I've done it when farming the first FP on the fleet for the Republic. I just pick the same options for the lightside points and affection points for whichever companion I have out at the time.

If you dont do the CQ you want be able to pick up the dailies later. The dailies are rewarded with rakata (T3, some call it T2) implants and ears. Doing the CQ after hitting 50 is probably at least as boring as doing them when still being in level range.

I'm going to go back and do them in the 40s. I know it will be boring, but ill burn through them via faster mounts and stronger toons. I have just been doing my tanks CQs since the alts can go in with him, it runs smooth.

I have been doing the CQ's along the way.
The gear is decent, and you don't have to travel far for the 3X sages. You have to do them at some point and it helps to lead you through where the quests are located on the planet. It was more fun when 2 boxing with two different classes.
Doing the CQ the third time just gets old.

Yesterday on Hoth the trooper quest "Conspicous Gallantry" when you bring in the third group member the enemy reinforcements are just out of controll. Normally with two or less you have waves of Imps, but with four in the group the number of Imps in the waves are insane. There was 50 or 60 of them all blasting away the result was not pretty, wound up doing it with just two in the group.

I have 3 knights right now and definitely agree... it gets old really fast doing the same exact thing 3 times in a row!

Thats really good info... I didn't know that the opposition changed based on group size in the instances!

Yea.. i think some of it is bugged/unintentional.. i know that wanted to scale the difficulty of some quests/encounters based on group size, but it scales crazy bad sometimes. Like if you have just one or two.. its normal, but if you add a total of 4 its out of control.. you could have 30 adds or more.
