4 Mercs

I know a lot of us have two boxed Mercs. Has anyone 4 boxed them? ( i think Mosg did 4 PTs ) I am leveling a Jug+3 sorcs atm.. love them! I was doing the area4 robot factory quests, it was fun and very doable of course, but i remember doing the same quest with my two Bhs ( one PT one Merc ) + 2 macos..it was a tad harder.. but I got them all done. It made me think that a PT and 3 mercs would just own. Have any of you leveled 4 BHs into the higher levels? Do tell!

Lyon, there is a guy in our guild of whom, I do not know who he is. I would assume he (or she?) has an account here, but I have no specific to say thats right. The player has (4) BH's played them hard and fast for about a month, then I havent seen him (or her) online since.

What I can tell you is, this player leveled amazingly fast. I dont know if they did mostly pvp or pve, or flashpoints or what... just know one day they were level 13, day two was 21, day three was 34, day four was 41, and day five was high 40s.

I did not like the 4 Mercs I leveled them to 40ish. Not having a Tank makes PVE painful. In general the 4 Mercs DPS is poor. 4 boxing a good PVE group i would recommend ( PowerTech/Jug 3x Scorc)

I am currently working on 2x PowerTech and 2x Sorcs so far this i my favorite PVE group with incredible survivability with decent DPS . Ping pong ranged aggro with both Sorcs Guarded. If you rotate the Aggro and Static Barrier/PowerTech Shield healing is cut in half if not more.

eh, I dunno about this. Without some real numbers and a DoE study to compare, thats assuming.

A lot of concerns at the moment with the game, appear to provide limits and of course imbalances to group make ups. Play style for one. Personally, I like the 2 warrior and 2 inquisitor setup. Yet I know people who struggle with it. Just depends on how much a boxer is wiling to go through.. I.e. ping ponging aggro, and balancing with barriers and shields.

Like I said before, all I know is, when I logged in, the dude was WICKEDLY fast at leveling in a very short amt of time. I'ts gonna be hard to convince me that a poor dps class did that.

I've thought about doing multiple BHs, but the ground targeting spells (Death from above, etc.) have kept me from it so far. I just got one of those on my Sage last night and if he's not the character in control, it's virtually impossible to use it (or at least I can't find a way). I can't imagine trying to control 4 characters with those type of spells. But if you figured out a way, I bet it would be amazing damage.

I know they are not poor DPS based on getting my main to 48 ( stopped when follow got fixed to do x4 comps ) I was able to solo +2s with him. And like i said in my OP, i leveled him with a PT up to level 27ish and was able to some heroic+ 4s using both CCs and Macos healing. Comparing the DPS of my current team to what i was able to do with two BHs ( one PT and one Merc ) I'm sure one PT and 3 Mercs will be awesome DPS. I know that they have heat issues on long fights, but I'm betting that will get buffed in a future patch.

BTW.. my title should have been 4 BHs.. I know not having a tank is a bad idea if you want to do heroic quests and such. Ill do PT+3 mercs. Also, the Jug and 3 Sorc team is awesome so far. This is just a "next team" discussion for me.
