I really want this mouse.. can get all my heals onto simple mouse buttons with ease :) no shift clicking etc..

Unfortunately it's a 5 day ship from a UK supplier and it's £99 - if they could have had it to me tomorrow I would have bought it, but I lack enough enthusiasm to wait 5 days.

So pissed. I bought the RAT 7 regular last week. :(

EDIT: The mmo edition wasn't out yet then...

I almost considered the RAT 7 - but I want that directional button for all the extra binds I can use :) oh and it lights up.

Yeah, I'll be sticking with my Naga, too. Too much going on with that mouse.

I was shopping for mice earlier this week and I ended up deciding on Razer Naga. The Cyborg one just doesn't have any features that are actually useful, and it has less buttons too. If you only have one mouse grip you won't need to keep changing the various parts, and in my experience, D-pads are unwieldy and downright useless to have in the thumb position. I've also heard reports that the Cyborg or Madcatz mice are not very structurally sturdy and can break easily if you drop it.

I have big hands so the adjust-ability of the cyborb is nice. Anyone have a Corsair Vengence M90 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4KneciiKXc&feature=plcp&context=C30599c5UDOEgsToPDskKQPZYueKT4SfDcjDSFRyet )? The hardware design looks great but most of the reviewers on new-egg say the software is horri (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826816007)d. Not that we use keyboard/mouse software for isboxer right?

As mentioned above, I have the RAT 7. The design doesn't lend itself to handle being dropped very well, that is true... But what mouse does?

This mouse you can adjust to your heart's content to fit your hand, whatever shape/stype you have.

I tried the Naga, it just didn't feel right for me.

I would have bought the MMO version for the extra buttons, but it wasn't out yet... I really like this one in any case.

I have the RAT 7 and it's the only mouse I could get close to being wide enough to be comfortable. This one looks like that, only better. :)

What on Earth is this thing?

I might have to pick one up just to see how they implemented their extra buttons. Mice are severely disappointing in that area. (they emulate a keyboard in the hardware instead of supplying unique buttons, so it's the same as plugging in a non-programmable keyboard and pressing buttons on it. I would rather have unique buttons)

I've had a brand new R.A.T. 7 sitting in my closet for almost a year now. I used it for 2 days and I just could not get used to it. While I wanted to have it work for me (because it looks so damn cool), I found that I kept tipping the mouse backwards and bringing the front of it off the mouse surface just a few centimeters; and because the front of it came up that would keep screwing up the mouse pointer on the screen. Second, the thumb wheel (something else I found awesome in theory) was difficult for me to hit without moving my thumb around the thumb buttons. I realize that probably sounds weird but, I wanted to be able to hit that thumb wheel by just moving my thumb straight up/down. Third, not all the buttons were able to be re-assigned/programmed. The DPI button(s) right next to the mouse wheel were not able to be changed from their default which I found very lame. However, the mouse software could have gotten better/more flexible since the last time I used it or maybe there has been a new firmware update that enables the ability to change that button (can't remember if it was just one button or two that were assigned to DPI).

Obviously it's been almost a year since I had used it and because I'm old my memory might be failing me but, those are the 3 major pet peeves I remember having with the mouse.

The only question I have is regarding the hat under the thumb - if you go up and forward (as in right/forward) - is that registered as 2 simultaneous keystrokes? Or does it only recognize 1 at a time? I've been jonesing for a mouse with a viable 8 way hat under the thumb for years.

Yanno, at one time, I found Sajuuk offensive. But Ive come to love his mannerisms and grouchy attitude / humor. That said...

And Im a little disappointed hes not commented on my recent upgrade to big boy hardware. :(

Ive used the Logitech -MX518 for years. Its simple, fast, just a few buttons as to not overwhelm. Love it. The R.A.T. and Cyborg mouse look a bit too intimidating "13 extra additional programmable buttons with a Shift function" Thats just outside my envelope along with the cost for "a computer mouse"

I giggled.

Oh, and I commented. Just for you. And as far as mice go...G500. I like the click-to-freewheel mouse wheel. Spin!

Can anyone link a decent video review? Seen quite a few and most are not as comprehensive as I would like. I had a cyborg keyboard at one point when they were one of the first to offer keyed lighting.

*shrug*

Suggestion: Why not order it and try it, and return it if you don't like it? It's sneaky and kind of underhanded, but that's where refurbs come from! yay!

After bringing it up I actually stopped playing WOW :) So maybe the price will come down when I get back into the game - but yes let me know how it goes!

I'd be afraid to cut myself on that mouse. it's got sharp edges.
Also yeah, the transformer comment.

I'm always wary of product that put too much emphasis on how it looks rather than how it performs..
Interested in your feedback though, if anything for a good laugh ;-)

The first feature i look for in any mouse is mouse wheel tilt. I use it for strafe. I use q and e for very important one button actions. I want as many close access keybinds near the WASD as possible. Also, using mouse tilt for strafe makes kitting people and spamming instants ( or shooting them if your a hunter ) very easy. I don't care how many other buttons if has, if no mouse tilt, its not for me 8) I'm using logitech G700 now and its perfect for me. I used a G5 for years!

I'd be afraid to cut myself on that mouse. it's got sharp edges. Have you tried one yet? I have the RAT 7 (which is basically the same mechanicals plus a few buttons) and I don't recall ever noticing any sharp edges. I can't imagine how you'd cut yourself even if it DID have sharp edges assuming you weren't suffering chronic PEBKAC. ;)

No i haven't, i still use an old 3 button + wheel microsoft mouse actually :(
My comment simply intended to be humoristic, after having a look at the pictures.

As I stated in my previous post about the R.A.T. 7 I felt it was too light and I was constantly picking the front end of it off of the mouse surface. Talking to some people in IRC today about how I could possibly weigh the front of it down and they recommended some Tungsten Putty. So, I went to the hobby store tonight and they were all out; but, they had some other Tungsten weights so I picked those up instead. Using my current R.A.T. 7 as a model, I carved and shaped these Tungsten weights so that I can attach them to the chassis of this mouse with epoxy (overkill?).

The mouse already comes with 30g of weights so you can adjust that already. Unfortunately, the weight sits near the back of the mouse and not the front. What I carved out tonight weighs more than 30g so we'll see if I can fix my spastic-picking-the-mouse-up-because-i'm-a-gorilla syndrome with these.

If I do like the way that this new Cyborg MMO mouse feels then I think I'll test the weights out on my current R.A.T. 7 before epoxying them on something that's still under warranty and may need to be returned. ;)

Most of the higher-end Microsoft mice have tilt wheels and have for quite a while now. I don't usually use them as that movement isn't something I've found terribly useful or natural-feeling to me.

Hmmm... well that's interesting. The mouse wheel tilt is definitely a sexy feature and it'd be great if this new Cyborg MMO mouse had it but... I have a feeling it doesn't (basing this feeling off of the regular R.A.T. 7).

This mouse looks pretty interesting, I might grab one and give it a try. I am currently using a mamba and love it for fps, but need more buttons for wow. I have the naga and could never get used to pressing all of the buttons.

I already moved your foot pedal question to a new thread. Foot pedals have nothing to do with this thread.

First impression is that it's the same thing as a R.A.T. 7 except it has more buttons. ;) One complaint
still stands as before and that is that I would like to see all the buttons on this mouse as programmable.
The DPI and Profile buttons are still not programmable and neither are the two new Action-Lock buttons
or the new "Shift" button.

If you own(ed) the original R.A.T. 7 you might've thought that the mouse wheel was a little flimsy. Well,
that's been upgraded in this new M.M.O. 7 version and it feels more durable. What has been downgraded
is the ability to adjust the thumb rest left and right (you can still adjust it forward and back, though). I'll
assume the choice to remove that option was because of the addition of 3 new buttons and the 5D
button to the thumb rest area.

I'm going to give this version much more of a chance than I did the original R.A.T. 7. Expect to hear more
in about a week or so.

The 5D button looks to only recognize one direction at a time.

That's what i use and I love it. I find i do not even use a few of the thumb buttons.. i use two of them for shift and alt. I use the mouse wheel tilt for strafe and mouse wheel click for round robin AE ( non ground targeted types ) using the thumb for shift and alt gives my so many one button keyboard presses that I do not need any others.

What has been downgraded is the ability to adjust the thumb rest left and right (you can still adjust it forward and back, though).
Deal-breaker for me. Only reason I bought the rat 7 was the width was adjustable wide enough to be close to comfortable. :/

Just buy this http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse it everything the naga tried to be and failed.. it has tilt wheel ( gives two more keybinds, I use for strafe left and right ) and the buttons are EXTRA stand alone Gkey type buttons.. not tied to your keyboard 8)

I'll agree with Lyonheart. I loved my Naga up until they started forcing this Synapse garbage on everyone. Almost all the traffic to my site is people looking to get rid of the busted-ass Synapse drivers and revert to the older ones. As soon as I can get a new mouse, I'll be going with the g600, which is what the newer versions of the Naga should have been.

I have the SteelSeries WoW Cataclysm MMO Gaming Mouse and it's just too big. My hand fits around it ok, but it feels like a lot of effort to shift the thing, so steering, looking, etc seem like hard work! Plus the software seems to grab the buttons and send the click to all WoW instances which can be really annoying.

So, I'm thinking of buying a Logitech G600. Does anyone know what is it like for size?

anyone know of third party drivers, like USB Overdrive, will work with this mouse? i love to change the repeat locks and dpi buttons to some thing else.
