So I just got ISBOXER and love it. I use it for SWTOR currently and runes of magic (mostly to see what the application can do) and its a little hard due to the lack of functions in SWTOR. I am contemplating going back to WoW so I can multibox and multibox well. I also just like WoW better. So I have a couple of questions.

1. Are there any guilds on these forums looking for more members? If so what server and side?
2. Whats a good comp to start with 4 Shamans? 3 Dps of anykind and healer? I want to run 3DK+1PALLY but I dont have any level 55's yet, so I cannot create DKS.
3. Is there a prefered server or Region for MulitBoxing?
4. Is it best to quad box or are there advantages and disadvantages to say dual or tripple boxing.

Any advice where to start is appreciated. Thanks!

I'll try to answer best as I can out from my view of wow.

1.

These are the "boxing servers", or places where there are a lot of boxers.

EU - Alliance - Outland - Autobots Roll Out
EU - Horde - Grim'Batol - GIMP

US - Alliance - Kil'jaeden - Legion of Boom
US - Horde - Blackrock - But Mom I'm Multiboxing
US - Horde - Magtheridon - The Zerg

2.
Really depends what you're going to do, if you're going to run instances 1-55 4Shamans is good, speccing one healer perhaps?, go for a simple setup if you're only lvling them to get to 55 for DKs.

3.
See 1.

4.
Again, depends what you're going to do, if you wanna do HCs it would be easier running 3DPS, but imo not as satisfying as taking instances by yourself.
For PvP it's the same.

This is just my view of it, I'm sure others would have a different view on it.

I think getting to 55 so I can do Dks seems like a legit idea. It would be convenient to keep it simple like all shaman. This would give me time to learn ISBOXER and how it works along with. thanks for the info. 1-55 should not take long and should give me a good amount of time to learn mb and get everything down.

Looking into RAF more and servers.

Is it better to pick a popular multibox server or one that doesnt have many multiboxers?

Only you can really answer this question. Do you think it'll be more fun to play with other multiboxers
or not?

I'm not sure there are any other multi-boxers on my server (magtheridon eu). When I see another boxer in a battleground and I get to speak with them for a short while, once it's over I feel like I'll never see them again...

I miss the opportunity to discuss multi-boxing real time, and to easily co-ordinate activities with other boxers.

I'm not sure there would be a downside to being a server with many multiboxers.

That said there is certainly a downside to being the only (or one of the only) boxers on your server. You get all the gawkers and asshats directing their rage at you in particular. I would think that on a server like Magtheridon-US seeing a boxer running around is so passe that people hardly pay them any mind (I could be wrong, though...)

Im debating 5 boxing or 4 boxing now... If i 4box i can box with a friend in my dungeon or group. aka a healer. If I 5 box I can always play alone and dont need anyone else for help. I do 5 box I can always drop one for a friend I suppose... lame but I could.

Also 5 boxing is instant ques, 4 man I have to wait for a healer or a tank depending on what comp I go.

I cant do dungeon finder with 5 hunters can I?

Save yourself the time and 5 box from the start.

I moved from 3 to 4 and then to 5.

Just my 2 cents....

I said fuck it I am doing this live and went with 5 accounts from the start. My two starter teams are as follows:

Team Thisonetime - 4warriors 1priest
and
Team Pantsless Paladins - 5paladins

I am going to see how these groups work. Any other comp suggestions are welcome??!! I want to run 5hunters but I cant do dungeons. And I know better then to quest. So it would be constant pvp from 10-85 =/... even though there pretty OP in a great. Hell may just do it for fun since level 10 does not take long.

I may end up eventually running a 4dks1pally and a 3hunters2pally and 1dk2hunters1shaman or something so after there all 85. I can run 5box hunter parties and 5box dk parties for pvp. Who knows... the possibilities are almost endless...

im totally geeked to start troubleshooting ISBOXER and my macros and all that jazzz but I cant fucking group because the accounts finally went live today and I have to wait to invite my toons since the restrictions are not lifted.

Questing isn't that bad. Leveling goes so quick that you can easily ignore any collection quests, especially if you are supplementing your XP with PvP, and I'm assuming that you're running RAF, so you should get the XP bonus from that as well. Not being able to queue via the dungeon finder shouldn't stop you, either. It hasn't stopped Team Beeq (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/41367-Team-Beeq-vs-46-57-Cataclysm-heroic-bosses-(new-video-added!)) or other people who run all DPS.

If you want to run a certain group, there's nothing to stop you from running it.

If your goal will be almost exclusively PvP...
Four boxing is a very good choice.

Because in the 10-man BG's, your unit of four (which will not split up intentionally) is only 40% of the field.
And four is enough to blow people up, as is five.

If you'll be running PvE and PvP (or just PvE), then five is the magical number.
Because that gets you your own five-man group.
So you can do instances on your own, without having to put up with the stupidity of PUGs or Random people via DungeonFinder.
You can still drop a toon, to have a friend run with you...

I started with two, because coming from Everquest a single character was incapable of doing almost anything from 35+.
I figured two-boxing (no software/hardware at that point, just follow and two computers, two keyboard, two mice, two monitors, assist) would allow more than one-boxing.
Turned out solo is just fine in wow, but kept the tandem all the way up.
Saw the Ellay videos in Burning Crusade, and wanted to box.
Added two accounts, and a week later another for five. :)

I went with 5. 4shaman 1paladin for my first group. I can get them all the way to 55 get dks and then continue to 85. If I pvp ill probably run just the 4shamans. I can always drop one for pvp but I hate pugs and hate waiting on people and also dont wana hear bs from other people so im gunna roll 5 deep so I can instant que and not worry.

With melee shamans should I include FTL Follow me after ever button command so my group continues to follow my movement after attacking?

Ulaa ps... I wana play with you... what server are you on?

Ualaa

Cenarius, US, Alliance <The Kittens>
Cenarius, US, Horde <Pestilence>

But I'm on alliance 99% of the time.

Quite a ways back, I saw another alliance boxer configuring their team of NE Druids at the same time as I was doing the same.
And I've seen a horde boxer at one point.
But both were several years back.

To my knowledge, there aren't other boxers on Cenarius.
The economy is good on the alliance side, and it is dead on the horde side.

It's a PvE server, with little world PvP... although Halaa was contested often during Burning Crusade.
It's basically impossible to do the Hellfire quests to take the three contended areas.

For the Alliance is set up now and then, into the horde cities.
For the Horde hasn't been that successful.
There are approximately 5 active alliance to every 1 horde.

I wouldn't mind playing with another boxer :)

Sounds awesome. Ill roll a set there... world pvp in wow is almost dead anyways... Is a normal server mean there are select areas of world pvp vs a pvp server where everything is pvp???
