View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Runaway toons (probably IWT/CTM related) but worse! Can't stop them!

Anyone have this problem?
I'll be doing my normal routine and stopping my toons from running off edges when all of a sudden the game freezes a second and then my toons are stuck in overdrive. 'Stop' effectively holds them in place but as soon as I release it (to do anything else) they start running again. It's as if the system pause caused a key to flip on inside the game that won't turn off until I reload the UI, forcing them to stop.

I presume you tapped the "run forward" key for everyone to see if that helped? If you press backward and they stop, then as soon as you release they run forward, that sounds like the run forward key got stuck. No telling which keybind(s) that is; you'd have to check your in-game keybinds to see what else is set to that.

It happens whenever lag spikes hit, or the game freezes as you said. Whenever it happens to me I just spam WASDQE and it normally stops. GL

I had this a long time ago when experimenting with WASD and modified WASD keymaps. Using modifiers on movement keys is buggy for example if you have a move forward on shift+w, but you release the shift button before you release the w button, the game never registers you unpressing the movement key.
Could that be your issue?

It's definitely something with IWT and a lag spike where the goal never registers and cannot register.
The best thing I've found is to lasso up all of them with a follow command and then quickly broadcast a forward and backward command.
That stops it.
I'm changing up my setup now. Ditching my melee team for a ranged team now that my range are all where I want them to be. I find this to be MUCH more fun and cleaner.
