I've been thinking about upgrading to 10-boxing. After reviewing all the material on the site and reading through Mirai's characterization (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/44505-Multiboxing-Hardware-Science!) , I believe my existing machine can handle it.

CPU : Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W (not overclocked)
Mobo : ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
RAM : 12 GB
GPU : EVGA Nvidia 580 GTX 3 GB
HDD : 2x Kingston 64 GB SSD in RAID 0

If I turn everything down, I think I can 10-box based on other people's thread.

Currently, I have 5 accounts. I have 5x DKs, 5x Mages, 5x Shamans, and a mixed composition group (20 toons at level cap).

My main goals for 10-boxing is PvP with some PvE farming mixed in. I want to have at least 10x DKs, 10x Shamans, 10x Mages, and 10x Hunters.

Would I be better off RAFing 10 new accounts? Alternatively, I could setup a second battle.net account and RAF 5 new accounts as follows:

Current Accounts; A, B, C, D, E

Future RAF: E -> F -> G --> H -> I -> J

In the 3 months time, I could level likely level 50 toons to 80 as Knytestorme did as mentioned here (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/45314-What-RAF-can-get-you?p=344274#post344274).

With RAF, a toon leveled from 1-80 can grant 39 levels.

With RAF chain of 6 accounts, you can grant level in a chain.

J -> x39 -> I -> x19 -> H -> x9 -> G -> 4x -> 2x -> F -> 1x -> E

So if I did my goal of Dks, Shamans, Mages, and hunters I would get a total of
------J---I----H--G--F--E
5th 320 158 79 39 19 9
4th ----320 158 79 39 19
3rd---------320 158 79 39
2nd------------320 158 79
1st-----------------320 158
Total 320 478 557 596 615 304
Level 80s 4.00 5.98 6.96 7.45 7.69 3.80

The matrix above includes the level gained through leveling and the cascaded level grants (39 instead of 40 is taken into account).

As a result, I should end up with 1-2 extra level 80 teams solely through level grants (I'll have to do some account transfers of course).

Having 6 teams is enough for me. I don't have any interest in doing Warrior or Rogues teams.

Secondly, can I transfer heirlooms to my 5 new accounts? Since they will be on a new battle.net account, I'm assuming no.
So I'll have to contact customer service and get them to transfer a toon loaded with heirlooms to my new accounts?

Personally I would RAF A -> E | B -> F | C -> G | D -> H| E -> I. This gives you more toons on your originall accounts and allows you to practice 10 boxing while leveling.
