First of all, he's in Denmark and most likely isn't going to use Newegg. Second of all, how does the laptop you linked compare
at all to the computer he bought?

Define "suck". If you're expecting to be able to run all 5 clients at Ultra that's not going to happen;
however, that laptop is better than some peoples' desktop computers around here. It's still a laptop
though, and being such a beast of a laptop it's probably going to run super hot which may affect
performance and, most likely, the lifespan of the machine itself.

Why in hells bells would you spec out a laptop with those stats only to attach it to a huge external monitor? Respec and just get a desktop - use the extra cash and buy yourself some visual real estate (few more monitors imo).

How many fans / air conditions are you planning to use with this laptop?

If you get hungry and need a snack, just crack a few eggs and cook them on your laptop cus that thing will be an expensive barbecue unless you have some external cooling aids
