Class spesific macro menu

Quick thought. Would it be possible to make a menu inside the macro and addon forum where you make class and specc menu. Where ppl can just click their way into the class/spec they need macros for. Sorta like wow-europe has, where you can read up on different classes. Ppl could post their stuff in there, rather then searching old posts to find it. Would get more hits on this site aswell :)

Sub forums for each specific class would be ideal. Keep everything neat then, split up those huge meta threads and then we can order by topic creation date to see how relevant the topics are to the current patch.

Idd, would be so much easier to find what you are looking for. Instead of getting 5-10 posts scattered all over the forum each week about DK and druid macros, we could have em neatly fitted into a sub forum :) gogo

Once upon a time we had them in the wiki. Vecter has a sticky (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=45441) asking people to submit their macros so he could update the wiki with them. There's not been much response to that.

I've considered building a macros thread, but it's a lot more work than just "gogo". Especially being at the tail end of an expansion when we know Blizz is probably going to change everything with MoP.

Problem with the wiki was that, it was a ball ache to edit/comment on.

Plus, at one stage the wiki contained more information on viagra and fake chinese hand bags than macros :(

I would have no problem doing the work to get this created in the wiki, but I am not going to do the leg work to rummage through all the threads and find macros which may or may not still be being used. I created the request thread to hopefully gather as many useful and current used macros for all the classes but as Khat pointed out I got little response.

What if i were to write up an excel(Open Office) sheet with all the names/classes/specs and PvP/PvE slots.

I will dig through and find the macros that exist. Then i will upload it, and it can be a master list that can be updated as we go/patches. Then people can comment on them and put their 2 cents in and we will change whats necessary.

Would be kind of nice to have it sitting on my desktop.

I don't mind working on it. My hospital ER isnt to busy at night.:cool:

If I worked in ER and it wasn't busy at night I'd be scanning parts of my body with that machine that even my mother doesn't get to see.

But then I'm just a spreadsheet whore. I have a whole delicious multiboxing spreadsheet and a snatch list spreadsheet and a crafting spreadsheet and a tuj spreadsheet.....
