I have this problem and when it happens which is quite frequently I have to log out and back in. I can be doing anything and all sudden one my characters screen all my guy are just standing there and on their screen its the other character who is really just standing there. Iv only had this problem when I started running 5 clients on one pc. Anyone know how I can fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

This happens to me occasionally too. I often just ignore it - it'll fix itself eventually - but if it's a healer / buffer who's out of sync then there's no choice but to relog the character. Actually, I haven't tried "/script ReloadUI()" - that might work, since it's purely a display problem, and it occured to me as I was typing this :whistling:

I was honestly just about to post regarding this same issue this morning. I wouldn't say it's 'common', but it happens to me as well. A relog does clear things up but it's bloody annoying nonetheless.

Yeah it happens to me too; you just need to relog, or go through a nearby instance portal.

It is a pain, but unless one of your characters can no longer see your main (and therefore cannot follow / assist), you really can afford to ignore it for the most part. DPSers that can't be seen by other people in the team can still actually DPS, for example.
I finished a whole chain of quests around Area52 a while ago with one of my DPSers completely invisible to the rest of the team.

It's a lag / out-of-sync issue. Happens to most of us I think, can't really do anything about it.

It's your computer not being able to handle x amount of copies of WoW. I had a crap ass comp, sometimes had two WoW's going, I always fell out of range.
Now I got a good computer no on falls behind.
It all has to do with how your computer is processing all the information and how fast your HD speed is.

I think we notice it more often than those who don't multibox but I know for a fact that this has happened to me several times when soloing.... you just don't notice it unless you are in a party who tells you about it. I've had instances where a friend would ask "hey were are you?" and I'm all "I'm standing right next to you jackass"... turns out he sees me back at the last mob looting still.
Or how about the "Loot Pickup Slide"? That's where you are running around normal and your friend says "haha... you are sliding around on my screen crouched like you are looting something.
Or the "Free Flying Mount"... you land at a Griffin Master (or Bat Handler and your friend still sees you as mounted on the griffin... so it looks like you are flying along the ground.
The way I solve these issues without logging out is to simply leave the effected character where he was and run far enough away so that he disappears from view. When I return I can now see him properly.

I have only had this happen once, but the one that wouldn't follow saw the party leader as dead. I set him to follow on of the other party members and zoned into and instance. Everything worked fine from then on.

This is a general problem. A single zone will have many area servers in it, and your characters aren't necessarily in the same one. If one of those crashes or has issues, this can occur -- it could even just be a bug in the load rebalancing, and it's definitely more common in some zones than others. Even if you're single boxing, you'll see people running in place sometimes, which is usually this. It can happen in your groups as well. The chat servers are not related to the area servers, so you'll be able to continue talking fine. Typically, if you cross zones, it'll fix itself when it passes authority. I've had it resolve itself eventually on its own as well, although that can take a while. So, unfortunately, this is just a reality of Wow and there's no solution to it.
On a side note, though, yeah multi-boxing isn't directly supported by Blizzard, so it's possible you'll run into multibox specific issues.
You don't have to relog to fix this. If you just separate the invisible and visible characters far enough that they can't see each other (out of range to /assist) and then group them back up that'll fix it.

Yeah this happens to me and pretty much anyone who plays the game. It might have something to do with the server.
I love chain healing when one character is like hes off the map and a bolt will shoot across the sky. Awesome.
So yeah again, I need to read a little slower next time.
