I have Instant Swapping (standard Window Layouts!) and most of the related mouse issues now solved in build 5509, now available as the *live* build of Inner Space.

After your Inner Space patches to build 5509, you should be able to use any standard Window Layout, including with Instant Swapping. Use the Window Layout Wizard (http://isboxer.com/wiki/Window_Layout_Wizard) to set up a new layout for an existing team (it can be found in the Wizards menu among other places). Don't forget to Export to Inner Space to activate any changes you make in ISBoxer! :)

Youre the man... im dling it now! Thanks boss.

Done. Got it all working. The only thing I see goofy, is the SWTOR splash screen when you swap each time. Granted it does that anyway even before this... But, now im on two monitors, and she looks beautiful.

Awesome work.

Hmm, I setup two swapping regions and loaded the new release but as soon as I'm loaded in game if I try to mouse look my mouse view heads up and I'm stuck looking at a twirling sky. I reverted back and disabled swapping and its back to normal.

I'll give it another try in the morning.

Gadi, I had the same thing with the new build (but only once, only on one character window and not reproducible). When I manually closed that instance of SWTOR and relaunched my character set it was fixed.

Show me your configuration if it doesn't work, and I'll see what I can find out.

Like Alge said though, sometimes with SWTOR the first time you change things it might be weird, and then when you close the game normally it will replace the previous settings in the client settings file and it should correct itself for the next launch. That might be all it is, ISBoxer 40 might have to get a solution for this (like updating the client settings file itself) :)

Trick I use is to not touch the windows as they load.

For me, if I change the window focus while it loads, it will load distorted and out of wack 100% of the time. If I allow it to load on the primary monitor it will load up fine.

I went back to the previous window over a window, and turned off swapping. Here's why...

Previous setup I was able to see both toons in one window, health, dps, targets etc. When I needed to switch from tank to healer, I would just ALT+TAB and the window. Oddly, when I did the window'd mode and ALT+TAB, there was no ui loading splash screen...so the swap was as instant as I could get.

With the windows side by side, and the instant swap enabled, the 3-4 seconds I have to wait for the ui reload splash window to complete had wiped my toons twice.

Im currently working on a video region with a repeater region overlayed to use the side bars for each toon, and then just operate from one window. I.e. Healers spells are all on the left side of the screen (closest to the group tree), and the tankin specific stuff are on the right action bar. I think Ill have this working tonight.

That's the definition of non-Instant swap. This should not happen with build 5509 and Instant Swap enabled. Make sure the game is set to windowed mode?

The splash screen only shows if you are in full screen mode, so I believe that is why he is seeing it as well Lax.

Hrmmm. Well then. I know I am using the 5509 build. And I ran the window wizard. Perhaps I didnt check the "instant swap" option or something. I'll check it out this evening and report back. Thanks for the reply... both of you.

Make sure in game you are running the same resolution on both clients and you are running in windowed fullscreen or just windowed.

Windowed will leave your task bar up, windowed fullscreen will simulate actual fullscreen but it is windowed.

Ok, well, I checked. Both games are set to "Windowed" mode in the games graphics settings. I re-ran the window layout wizard, and then again, just to be certain. When I click on display 2... and the windows swap on the click... I get the 3-4 seconds of the games splash ui reload window.

The layout I chose is

This Window Layout features a full screen-ish main window on \\.\DISPLAY1 and the rest on \\.\DISPLAY2. Swapping enabled. Does not include a home for every window. All home regions have the same aspect ratio as the main region. Leaves space for the Windows taskbar.
Im going to delete ALL window layouts and try again..

ARRRGH! ok, this is pissin me off now. Ive deleted all window layouts. Went back to the single display with two instances overlapping one another, and avoiding the taskbar. I can ALT+TAB and the swap is instant, with no ui reload splash... BUT... Nowwww, the dam second instance of swtor isnt avoiding the taskbar, but the first one is!! So now, all my video regions, and repeater regions are all out of sync from another, because the two instances of swtor arent the same resolution layout...

Honestly, i wish Id just not have messed with it. It was working fine, and now, its not useful at all.

You can fix this by manually editing the size of the regions in your window layout.

Alright, i figured it out. On the main menu, I had "Use Instant window swapping (synchronizes game resolutions) checked. Once I unchecked it, save, and exported... im working business as usual.

I just dont understand why the two display, window swap wouldnt work, with a mouse click.

Inner Space build 5510 fixes another issue with SWTOR resolutions. Apps, you may have been running into this issue. This build could potentially fix it. (If swapping is not Instant -- shows loading screen -- and you have the Instant Swapping box checked, it is a bug.)

Copy that. I'll check it out when I get home.

Sorry to necro; but I just now got around to trying to get swapping to work. [I've been boxing this whole time with static window positions; eyefinity 6 = i can see all 4 windows large enough to deal, so no big] well; was experimenting with trying to get swapping to work...the only time swapping works is if I use a layout that is stacked.... [This includes generating a 'standard window layout', that doesn't work either...] Any ideas? [Tried per slot hotkeys, the built in 'next/previous' hotkeys, and video FX mouseover, none work except in stacked mode.]
