Hello

I have played wow since just after release with two
accounts, 4 70s some in BT, some alts, twinks blah blah blah…

I tried multi boxing with sysnergy and two PCs a year ago but
abandoned it after getting dizzy from the mouse spin. Then I stumbled onto this
site and decided to try keyclone and let me say this is the most fun I have
EVER had with the game.

Ok finally here is the question:

I had zero issues getting started; began with 2 mages burned
everything to a crisp for 10 lvls and then decided to try the ole 3 shamy
setup. Is the best setup for shamys all elemental? Why not one enhanced and 2
elementals? How do you work the healing?

This brings me to my next question: How exactly do you dual
box a melee and a caster? For instance and correct me if this is way off base….

Target mob with my main, I am assuming this would be the tank,
hit the assist macro to have caster target. Ok this is what I don’t understand;
if I do this the caster follows the mele into combat and risks getting hit. So
I guess the question is how do you get the caster to stay at a distance while
the mele goes in to combat? Would this be like a “stop following” macro? Or do you pull with cast and let the mele pick it up. I guess i don't understand playing different classes, do you have another action bar on your main that is like you pet bar for the clone?

Thanks in advance.

I would guess the stop-follow macro would probably work best. I only got Keyclone last night but i have been an alt-tabber for a while and i've generally found having casters on follow during combat is just asking for trouble. Many times I tabbed to my priest screen, hit greater heal, then tabbed back to the warrior and moved him for some reason or other and sure enough, the priest moves as well and interrupts the cast.

I dont have this prob because I use Autohotkey, and my script hits "s" and broadcasts to all my casters, to walk backwards for .0001 secounds before it hits "1" on my keyboard which rolls into their castsequence, with my chosen action button.

HOWEVER. . . .

I havent tried it yet, but imagine this shouldbe easy enough, on your castsequence macro on WOW, add /sit in front of the firstline like this:

/sit

/castsequence reset=target/combat frostbolt, cone of cold, frostbolt

. . . etc.

if you have an addon that makes your character to stand up before casting, when you get the "you must be standing to do this" message then your character will make a jerking motion for a slpit secound before casting when you hit yer action button, I think that should work

Wouldn't this be one of them thingamabobs.. Automation?

I'm sure this can be done in some other fashion, like you go on to suggest yourself, but I was under the impression that Multiboxing was in the clear because one keypress goes on to perform one, possibly macroed, action in-game(s). I'd be scared shitless of using that functionality, for fear of being tossed out of the game on my ass.

Back to the topic, the really really simple solution is to tap the down arrow key, having unbound it from your "Main".
Similar to the above, only not automated and thus without the suspicion (and lure?) of macroing an attack sequence, IE. pushing a button and going for a sandwhich while the macro handles the fighting. Saw a guildmate do this way back when, having his keyboard press "1" over and over for Frostbolts in MC. Now I'm a lazy bastard, but aren't we paying for this to play? :D

this is automation and a bannable offense. Not to discourage helping pl out with advice but please refrain from these types of things.

More appropriate would be a key that makes it backup. then press ur key to attack.

I didn't disable my arrow movement keys, just wasd. Just press forward, in casting range, all alts stop follow. Run in tank, melt.
