I have ordered a second copy of WoW and all the exp packs. So i have not tryed out yet to dual-box, but i was thinking to start simple. If i have a dps or tank as my main and a healer as slave. I have the G15 keyboard, can i somehow program the G-keys to healing spells that are send to the inactive window. I am usually a clicker, so i click with mouse my spells on hotbar, so was thinking if i could use those G-keys to control my slave. At least to start with.
Perhaps there are better way to do things, but i am very new to this, and have not yet tryed it out, think i get the second game next week.

First thing you will need to do is break yourself of the clicking habit, multiboxing software relies on passing keypresses in almost all cases to be effective. Clicking things with the mouse works for somethings, but it is highly inefficient and can end up causing more problems than it's worth.

As far as G-keys, many people have used them to manage healing. Depending on what software you use, you can also configure tings like Grid or Clique or whatever to heal from the master's screen. I personally use mouseover healing through mousepass regions.

I'd suggest looking at the Newb's Guide to Multiboxing thread stickied at the top of this subforum. It contains links to all sorts of setups and configurations.

But if i want to use the G-keys to control the client that is not in focus, i still need a program that sends the presses to the slave? It is not possible to get it directly to G-keys?
Otherwise a thought was that for example pressing G1, would be a key combination of Shift+1, and use AutoHotKey send it to the window that is not in focus, and send '1' and so on for G2-G10.

AFAIK GKeys only interact with the focus window, you will still need a multiboxing program to multibox unless you intend on alt-tabbing constantly.

Ok, thanks. I will use 2 monitors, but it takes still time to switch between screens, so probably the best is to try out a program that sends the key press to the other window.
