Guess I forgot that we're on our own when it comes to support while multiboxing. Here I thought I had a way to prove something weird was going on, turns out it's just a get out of jail free card for support analysts...

"Multiboxing is fine, we allow/tolerate it, but dont support it': is pretty much the standard reply you get on the forums. It's the reason why branded computers are sealed, if you break the seal to change parts yourself, warranty is gone. It's the reason why warranty is gone when you start pimping your car as well.
Multiboxing is beyond the intended use, and uses 3rd party software. What did you expect? That being said, I've had helpful blue's when I had a question about playing wow on linux, which is pretty much in the same boat were multiboxing is. In the end the guy ask you if you have the same issue while single boxing, ...

I keep getting a blue barrier that prevents my movement into locations. This happens at random, and requires a restart of the game to resolve. From information I've gathered online, this barrier indicates I am still downloading content from the server, however when I check the launcher it indicates content is 100% downloaded. Also, I am playing 4 other accounts at the same time (Multiboxing) from the same hard disk location, and the other accounts are not exhibiting the same behavior at the same time. They do the same thing at random for no clear-cut reason.
When this happens, I am forced to restart the game. (for that window, the others continue working fine) It should also be noted that when this happens, the game refuses to acknowledge my logout/exit request, so I am forced to ctrl-alt-del end process to close it.
What gives?
Have not seen that kind of thing myself.
You could try to launch each account solo, and go through the Launcher rather than wow.exe and see if they're all patched up.
What software are you boxing with?
What are your computer specs?

Yeah, tried the launcher and it's 100% patched. Boxing with ISBoxer, and I'm running win 7 64 bit with an i7 920, 6 gb ram, Intel SSD and GTX 260.
I'm trying a cache clear and launch solo through launcher to see if that will clear it up.

I've had that too - I reloaded that window and it fixed it.
No biggie.

Yeah, the first time I did that and didn't think more of it. However after it happened for the 15th time, my patience had started to wear thin. Completed the cache wipe and let the launcher sit for an hour, then logged in (without innerspace) and did my auctionhouse work for a while this morning. We'll see if that clears it up for good.

I would expect their response and yours frankly. You supposed to be better than this if your going to do this hobby.
You gave them no real information other than what you see on the screen superficially and that your boxing. Of course there is no qa process on their end for boxing. Or running multiple launchers, etc. Their solution is pretty simple, the game is working as intended.
I am guessing the download is having a problem locking a file or with a similar semi-static resource, you should do what the other poster said and launch individually (as a test) or run perfmon with an eye for file exceptions.
Since everyone else doesn't have this issue, some discussion on your game disk layout or isboxer config files might be useful.
Perfmon will also show the concurrency against the tcp session to the same endpoint addresses, perhaps they dont allow you to have a large number of sessions against the same streaming server like they do for game play.

It was an open-ended support request, not a self service post. I was simply looking for more information about the phenomenon that I was encountering, as I have never witnessed a physical obstruction in the game world before. Remember, I don't have an inside knowledge of the how the game works, that's what Blizzard is there for.
Either way, I've mentioned more than once that my troubleshooting is ongoing and I expect to find a solution for this problem on my own at this point. I am surprised that my post was dismissed like it was, but I never showed any indignation - no need to throw a fit.

Damn, thanks Svper. That's 100% my symptoms and background - I'm on a fresh install of wow, and have not spent a requisite amount of time single-boxing. I did wait for the launcher to hit 100% before I launched any multiboxing, but I guess there's in-game downloading that can't happen correctly while multiboxing.
With any luck, my clearing all cache and spending time doing one-session auction work will rectify the problem.

normal on a full install it says its 100% but its still only 60%-70% I always login in solo and check the game data in wow
Check Screenshot to make sure it says 100% it probs be anything far that to start with
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20663759/WoWScrnShot_122811_164932.jpg
and it does not matter what zone it it could be anywhere in the world to start with.
If it is 100% then just try mass about solo take a few random fight paths. change to east to outland to kamdor etc

Yep, it says 100%, but I have cleared cache and logged in solo for around an hour since my last barrier encounter, so it might be all fixed. I'll report here if I see it again.
Thanks for the help and screenshot Ebony!
