View Full Version : Client Initialization Failed

Hello,
I'm new to ISboxer though I've run dual boxing software long ago back in the EQ days. For some reason I'm unable to get the second account to fire up in Old Republic. I didn't try during beta but I'm in the Early Access.
The first account starts fine after trying to launch using the character sets. I log completely into the game then wait for the second account to fire but it never does. I try to manually do it and it loads the launcher fine but when it tries to load the client it crashes. Both characters are listed in the profile that I exported from ISBoxer Suite. Both are set to run as Administrator.
I'm running on Win7 with an AMD quad core at 3.4ghz and a pair of Nvidia GeForce GTX 460's in SLI and 8 gigs of memory. The game is set to launch in windowed mode as well.
Any suggestions?

Thank you, I'd read that thread and the guide on setting everything up before I'd posted. None of that post was able to get me past this issue, though.
I've gone through the nine pages again and re-did everything from scratch thinking maybe I'd missed a step. I've even disabled Windows Firewall, AVG Virus protection (since at one point it saw it as a threat), and made sure I didn't somehow reinstall Nvidia's firewall. I've tried using all three methods of logging in. I can log into either account separately and play indefinitely.
Also, for some reason, although I get the FPS meter and other info, the CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+G command when in game does nothing.

If "and other info" is a memory indicator directly beneath the FPS indicator, then you are launching the game directly through Inner Space and without ISBoxer. You need to launch your Character Set through the ISBoxer Character Sets menu instead of selecting a Game Profile through a Game menu.

Ok, I figured I'd get some sleep and come back to this. From what I can tell, I am running ISBoxer if the ISBoxer Toolkit counts and there's not something else I should be running.
Here is a screenshot of how I'm launching the game-

And here is a screenshot of the output in game of the FPS and the memory readout. CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+G does not work here. Also, ISBoxer Suite is still running in the background-

From here I also open the Innerspace Console/Uplink. I started doing this when it would not launch. I usually wait to see if it's going to launch the second launcher. I usually wait about five minutes, just in case. I figured the console would provide some information, and in a way it does. Here is what i see from it-

If I read this correctly, it shows ISBoxer is running and communicating with Innerspace.
If other people are getting it to work with SWTOR live launch then yeah, it's obviously something I've done. All programs are set to run as admin, including the SWTOR launcher and the SWTOR EXE. Also, I've added exceptions for both Innerspace and ISBoxer Toolkit to my anti-virus software even though I have it disabled, just in case.
--EDIT--
The only thing else I can think of that I'm doing wrong has to do with the Window Layout. I'm currently using one screen though I'm going to try a second as well. I have swapping disabled.
Have you tried to launch again even after the first one is already running, (at least with wow, if it failed somewhere between the first and next accounts, it will not repoen the one already running, but will open the ones not running)?

Yes, this is where I get the error. Now, this is also of note as well.
If I try to manually launch it from ISBoxer, the Innerspace Console tells me Error, ISBoxer is already running. Sometimes it will still load the launcher. I have tried to also close down ISBoxer then start it again and launch. It will launch the second launcher, but see below what happens next.
If I try to run it from Character Sets by right clicking on the Innerspace systray icon, then going to character sets and my character set, it fires the launcher with no error in the console/uplink.
In both cases I input the new account name and password, then click login then play. It thinks about loading the SWTOR client for a moment then crashes the one already running. Sometimes I get the Client Initialization failed error, sometimes it just quietly closes out.
And by the way, thank you both for the replies. I'm going to try and install it on my laptop (which I'm on now) to see if maybe it's the desktop PC is the issue.
