View Full Version : [WoW] Anti Boxer Kick From Looking For Raid

Last night Kang and I were in a LFR group. I was on 4 of my DK's and Kang was healing on his Druid. We one shot the first two bosses and clear trash to the third. As we are sitting there waiting to start the third boss some anti boxer guy kicks my main. This was not a good idea since we held 5 of the 25 spots plus my guys were top 10 dps. After some arguing they kick Kang. So while I was still bitching them out I began pulling the boss to cause wipes. I told them not to kick a guild member when there are multiples of us in the raid. I also did my fair share of bitching the idiot out. Long story short I wiped them 3 times in a row. I would wait until everyone was back from the run back and pull again. Before the raid disbanded I told them let this be a lesson for you. You don't kick someone for no reason when they have multiple guild members in the raid.
If you are boxing a LFR and get random kicked the standard operating procedure should be to wipe them until the raid disbands. If this happens again I am going to say, "This wipe is courtesy of Legion of Boom in response to "assholes name who kicked us" random kick of our guild member(s)."

Too bad it happens to you, seems like a bad call but .... (in general) ...
- if someone acts/plays like an idiot I'll votekick him, it's not because someone has guildies that he/she has special rights, if guildies leave, too bad
- if someone starts to rant / qq / shout ... i'll vote kick him/her
- if someone deliberately wipes the raid multiple times by ninja pulling I'll make a ticket; pretty sure blizzard doesn't appreciate such behavior, regardless the circumstances (imagine a troll who's sole purpose is to wipe the lfr, he queues up all day long just to ninja pull all the time)

Damn while I'm happy you got them back unfortunately the ones not involved will now have a negative view of boxer and might be more quick to vote kick the next one they run into :(
Its too bad that vote kick doesn't display who voted on them, would take care of some trolls for sure

I would bet it would make them more hesitant to randomly kick someone just because they think multiboxing is cheating like that retard who kicked me. I am sure the people who voted yes thought I was afk when they clicked yes. It doesn't take a genius to realize if you kick someone with 5 of the same toons in the raid out for nothing there will be repercussions.
I would prefer to limit the negativity. All be it, Pinot and Kang are well appreciated by myself. I have run into this in the recent past.
I opted to simply pull my team from the raid group, reform without the offender, and finish the run. Seemed less time consuming and a lot less dramatic, than what Pinot and Kang saw.

I bet he won't make that mistake again. I have to admire how passive some of you are. We need more people in the world like you. However, in my case, I feel more like this when it comes to life.

Well, that being said... there are what?..11 mil subs. Getting a "bad name" or "the wrong image" by even a few hundred players is like 0.001%. Have fun buddy. You just tear up all the unruly players you want.

Heh, there are indeed about a bajillion people, this is true.
I just don't let people force me into doing something I wouldn't do on my own. You're basically abdicating the choice to be decent by effectively saying "BUT HE STARTED IT MOM!!!1!" and fulfilling John Gabriel's Internet Fuckwad theory.
John Gabriel's Internet Fuckwad theory.

I would say it's more like Newton's Laws of motion. To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction. John Gabriel's theory Normal Person + Anonymity + Audience = Total Fuckwad does not apply. Anonymity and Audience is irrelevant in my case. Every choice in life has a consequence. An example is, break the law you go to jail. So in my case, someone fulfilling John Gabriel's theory with my characters without provocation warrants a fitting reprisal. Just like sending people to jail we hope the perpetrator learns a lesson from their misdeed. While some poor people who may have not voted suffer a waste of time they too learn a valuable lesson. The lesson is treat people with respect and their won't ever be a problem.
I must say I do enjoy seeing how others would react. It's cool to see how different people are. Our life experiences make us all unique and that's special. I think this image is a fitting end.

So it's kind of like saying that if some random rogue likes to grief low lvl zones then other players automatically think that every rouge is a griefing bastard.
As a invidual multiboxer I don't represent other multiboxers in anyway just like random single players don't represent each other. I don't see any reason why invidual players would think otherwise.

One guy being a jerk doesn't give you the right to torture and harass the rest of the raid. You should have used your remaining toons to kick him and be on your way.

Yeah. I can understand your frustration because a similar thing has happened to me. The group just refused to go forward with the boss until I had left...which I didn't do.
The best thing to do in those circumstances, is cripple the raid. I.e if they kick your main, just pretend that the others can't do anything without him...so they have a bunch of raid spots that are filled without doing DPS.
The course of action you took I guess I can understand but I plead that others don't copy it. Fighting fire with fire isn't so great when boxers are already thought of as poorly...I can't see how your actions improved our standing in the eyes of people :(
But you're right, he was a douche the guy who kicked you :D

Would the macro, that boots (or rather reports as AFK) anyone not from your own server work.
Or an adaption of that?
/run for i=1,GetNumRaidMembers()-1 do local unit = "raid"..i local name,realm = UnitName(unit) if(realm) then ReportPlayerIsPVPAFK(name.."-"..realm) end end
If I'm reported as AFK in a battleground, when I'm not AFK...
I have all of my toons run that mapped key.
What goes around comes around.

The real solution for this would be a new Jamba option to auto deney "jamba members" to be kicked from anything
A single kickvote that is denyed count for 5 players as far as I know, meaning 3x denied votes would be 15 people out of a 25man, resulting in the kick will fail. :)
One guy being a jerk doesn't give you the right to torture and harass the rest of the raid.
Actually it does. He used vote kick to remove two people (ok toons) who were being productive members of the raid. Pinot was in the top ten dps and I was the number 2 healer. Just because he doesn't approve of our play style doesn't give him the right to ruin our fun and make the raid wait while the empty slots are filled. The other members of the raid should not have been lemmings and blindly vote to kick. I feel no sympathy for them.
You should have used your remaining toons to kick him and be on your way.
We tried but vote kick is weird in LFR. I didn't even have the option to vote kick him. It doesn't work the same as it does in bgs.

Nup, fuk em, if they are going to be like that, they have to learn they will get it back. The others in the raid shouldn't have clicked yes either. If you have done nothing wrong and get kicked for no reason other than the gy doesn't like boxers, you being nice isn't going to change his mind, so may as well troll the raid and wipe them continuously. I myself would just afk the bosses but I would be tempted to wipe them.
Good on ya mate, and good luck in the future.

This thread is worthless... if you get kicked from raid finder just requeue...
I've been able to go 8/8 on multiple teams. Just keep to yourself and don't talk shit and people seem to be pretty accepting.

This is exactly what we do. But if someone is anti boxer and starts shit I am not going to be passive about it. I found my new saying if it happens again. I admire the guys who turn the other cheek and leave. I am an eye for an eye type of guy.

I'm thinking you should have just pointed out that you topped all of the DPS numbers and that thanks to the looser that started the vote-to-kick you were taking your toys and leaving and get Kang to come with you.
I guess there was no good answer this problem, open a GM ticket about the issue ( you could always bump it up by doing it 5x ).

I hope you realize that your image depicts exactly why "eye for an eye" is total fail. You end up going into a fit of rage
only to do something you end up regretting.
I've never understood why multiboxers rage on anti-boxers. When you rage on someone you're only reinforcing the
stereotype that we're anti-social loser douchebags. Exactly what battle are you fighting? The battle of oppression in a
video game? So, you would tarnish the reputation of multiboxers with your selfish retarded act rather than just suck it
up and move on in a video game? That's hilarious.
Haters and anti-boxers aren't going to remember your name or your guild, they're going to remember "multiboxer",
and then slap the same label on all of us. Thanks.

Are you still an "eye for an eye type of guy" if you ever were to get gang raped in the park by 3 big black gay brothers from da hood? You gonna go after them with your little friend ready in your hands for revenge?

LMAO! No I would not go after them to rape them. I would go after them to kill them. That is unless the police find them first.

Everyone is going to have his or her own way of dealing with issues. Short of doing something reportable or bannable, to each his/her own.
Personally, I believe escalation doesn't solve anything. You can't teach retards anything even by wiping the raid over and over. All you do is allow someone to push you into doing something that you may later come to regret, as there may have been people who were relatively innocent bystanders caught in your shitstorm.
But honestly, you have a right to think otherwise.

They weren't really innocent by voting YES. That seems to be the default choice for any kick vote regardless of what the circumstances are, I've yet to see a kick vote fail.

Don't get too click happy with that if you're on the same BNet. A user from the German
