View Full Version : [5v5] To early to say?

So the new season has started.

Done around 60-70 5v5 fights with my shamans and holy paladin friend this season. I got up 2000 MMR, with 1680 rating, but after that it went downhill. And tbh, this comp feels really weak atm. I dont know if its a gear issue, but it shouldnt be. I have around 4200 resilience, 132 000 hp unbuffed and around 9000 SP.

Any team with 2 melees are like a fucking train. My healer cant keep up on the healing part, in order to get a kill I have to purge my target, put flame shock on him, wait 5 seconds and then kill him. And by that time I have to help my healer top me off, or heal him up. And even if I get a kill, they still are able to put out insane pressure, so my healer go OOM or I go OOM.

Only exception are spellcleaves, they are almost to easy to counter.

Anyone else got the same experience/feeling? Im only talking about arenas here. BGs are another scenario.

melee are just silly seems a season for them again.

what's the reason behind melee's dominance again. 25% healing debuff ?

OR

like the title said, too early to tell as top teams are getting ratings early in the season

oh that.

greaaat. PVE raid encounter buff helped melee PVP again. better exploit before it was nerfed.

Only certain specs can offer that right? Wish my DK team could get that buff without one going blood

blessing of might, battle shout, enhance and blood DK. I think 25% debuff healing does make a difference also.

I tried blood DK pvp, pretty unkillable, total anti melee. So switching to 1 blood + 3 frost might not be a bad idea.

Hehe, tbh they werent that great. But my healer had only been doing like 10 matches in total with me. And failed big time on that ress! He wasnt even CCed at that time :P I love how one guy said: "if he were above 1500 rated we would have lost the fight!" xD

no more point collectors in arenas = higher waiting time & better teams

25% heal debuff ( = 1 dmg dealer)

20% melee buff (rogue can solo kill anything)

less damage absorb, with higher res (blizzard didn't update it)


btw.
just made 20 games.. nearly all right in my kisser.
biggest problem, increased melee aoe damage and ninja kills (rogue,hunter)

Have only played with the 4 DKs and priest setup so far. First week was definitely a mix of some nub and some pro teams for me. Stll finding double healer teams tough if I can't drop one of the heals super quick and I don't have either the 20% atk pwr buff or the 25% MS. I was actually considering dropping on of the DKs for an MM hunter do add both to the group as well as a source of ranged damage, but haven't actually tried at this stage.

I'm in the process of doing this.

I'm working on my legendary on my rogue, and have 2 piece pve, and the OP trinket that procs for 30k+ physical dmg crits.

Debating as which spec to run in a multi-box setting.

In 2s/3s as sub I'm able to force big cooldowns in the first couple seconds of the fight with my opener. Rogues are pretty broken right now. 3 DKs with 25% MS + Smoke bomb is going to be ridiculous.
Thinking about going combat for the Bladeflurry / Killing spree cleave dmg to go with the HB spam.
