Has anyone discovered how to natively run two instances of SWTOR without inner sphere? Or is that the only method that is working right now?
I read through all the posts, and I dont see where anyone mentioned the procedures to get SWTOR x2 clients on 1 PC, without a 3rd party tool.

Thanks!

It's called Inner Space bro!

Getting Inner Space will be the best thing you ever did for yourself. There's even a free trial etc... Hands down the best multibxing software in continued development around imho. I couldn't imagine boxing with anything else.

To answer your original question. I don't think anyone has figured out another way at this pooint.

I am going to buy the software for sure, looks wicked! But obviously there has to be way to run SWTOR x2 on 1 PC natviley, becuase the innersphere tool does it.

Just curious if anyone discover the technique....

Has to be some pointer somewhere to the swtor.exe, so you could have 2 directories pointing to two different .exe names..

woah.. easy with that "3rd party" lingo. I can see that turning ugly in a new york minute.

Few things to keep in mind.
1. All active developers of multiplexer software are currently looking into further development of being able to multibox the game.
2. The game is boxable with multiple computers.
3. If Inner Space can get two instances of the same game active on one computer, then that mean you can do it without innerspace... just may take some serious tech "saviness" to get it done. Inner space doesnt clone or copy or inject game code or any of the buzz words that non boxers like to throw around.
4. Lax is... stress IS the cream of the crop. The dude isnt just on top of the situation, hes all over it, under it, in it, etc. The reason why ISBoxer is "working" right now, is because hes the best. Eventually others will catch up.

But for the moment, if you are like me and many of us, who are ok with paying ISBoxer and IS to do the work for us, (cause frankly Im not savy enough...) Right now... today, ISBoxer is your best option.

Great information thank you very much, that is what I assumed that InnerShpere and ISboxer are not injecting or modifiying code... so thats great to here that confirmed.

I am savy enought to figure it out, was just inquriing if anyone else wanted to share any tips to do it nativly, before I dive into it.

I'll fire up filemon, and maybe do a debug trace and try to locate the pointer to the .exe. If I find the solution I'll gladly share it here for free...

Thanks

Yeah, SWToR doesnt work the same way other games do, and Lax (ISB/IS maker) had to work some mojo. I am sure that he can chime in with details if warranted, but as it stands right now, there is no way to launch 2 natively. That being said, it could change at launch or there-after.

Lax mentions in his post on boxing SWTOR that the fact that ISBoxer was already running games in a virtualized manner allowed him to adapt more quickly to their two-process system.

As I understand it, all other multiboxing tools will have to catch up to him and support virtualized operation before they can even get close to support multiple SWTOR on a single box.

Sounds like a conspiracy between Lax and Bioware. Lax specifically requests that the only way to launch multiple instances of swtor is via ISboxer, thereby increasing his profits 10 fold. I smell antitrust lawsuits on the horizon.
