[WoW] 5 Persons V Box 25 man raid?

Hey Xzin,

I have been browsing here for a few days and noticed you said there are several multiboxers on Magtheridon. Have you guys gotten together to seriously consider running 5 man raids? I.E. 5 persons 5 boxing 25 characters?

I know some are trying 25 boxing, and I dont know if it defeats the purpose, tho for me it wouldn't as I would think communication and synergy of flow in 5 persons is much better than 25 people. And unlike 25 boxing, I think this could be really successful.

It may cause too much attention, I can see the headlines now <V Box> Downs Magtheridon! lol.

But I guess you could keep it on the down low.

Was something I was thinking about and was just curious.

To be honest, I dont think you can ever pull off the 5x5 on 25 men content. Bosses have so many annoying extra abilities now a days. I would be more then happy to so you guys pull it off and make some great foottage while doing that ;)

I think it can be done easily, as easily as a raid can get anyway lol, by experienced multiboxers who have already done the raids on a main in a traditional raiding guild.

I have been up to TK and know the strats and positioning and just see it being pretty easy once you are experienced multiboxing.

Just like a raid everyone assists the MA and the 5 control 1 tank each making sure to face the mobs and bosses so the melee can backstab/shred/increase hit chance.

I think the most difficult part will be gear. Once you start getting to SSC there will be some gear problems unless you have farmed heroics and gruul and mag for a bit. Only worrying about 5 characters will help alleviate that.

How do you see positions on 5 players on lets say vr, alar or lurker, hekk, gruul and maulgar. Think it prolly can be done, and i will be happilly proven wrong here, but it will be the biggest struggle ever.
