After a year of Cataclysm I have gotten bored of wow. Even multiboxing, solo play and what have you. I think I just need a break from wow for a bit. I'm sure this is common. I'm sure I'll be back online within a week or two. :D

^^ I don't play for weeks on end. Too much other stuff going on. Then I log in and work on some Jamba, run a few dungeons, cycle repeats. It's a very expensive hobby this way!

Yeah I've been leveling a few teams from low level content, and a team that's 73 and if I don't feel like playing I get owned in battlefield 3 :p.

I guess like many others, as you get older, things in life get more busy and time to spend on games doesn't feel like it used to be 10 years ago. I'm sure in the new year when things calm down for me I'll be back into playing. I won't quit Persay, but my time on it isn't like it used to be.

And jafula, lookin forward to the next jamba :)

I'm bored too.

Part of the problem is everyone in my multi-boxer guild all are taking time off or have quit.

I have 3 level 85 teams, the latest my mage group.

I decided to get a few of the faction mounts for my mage team and have just started the Netherwing faction quests to get those cool flying mounts. Skyguard is next after that so that's what I've been doing (plus my dailies in firelands each day on all my toons).

Skyrim comes out next week and that will be taking some of my time as well as Might and Magic which came out about a month ago.

Next will be Diablo III in the first quarter of 2012 so there will be plenty to do besides WoW. Plus if you agree to pay for a year of WoW you get D3 for free. I did that on two accounts.

I tend to go through phases with Warcraft.

Play for a lot, then take some time off.
Almost always off for the summer, because of the seasonal work.
Haven't reactivated yet, from this summer.

Usually someone will post something about their team or a combination.
Some spark will be exciting...
Then it will be something else, or try a new combo.

After a while, I need a break again.
Mixing it up is good.
Sometimes reading instead of playing video games is a good change of pace.
At the moment, I'm watching or rewatching entire series of TV shows.

Indeed. I just picked up all 3 seasons of Arrested Development last week from Amazon when it was on sale.

TV Shows that are a must watch:

Dexter
True Blood
Game of Thrones
Six Feet Under

... Shit thought I could think of more! All well Dexter is well into the 6th season now so thats a lot to watch! If you haven't seen it already.

But yeah I have Skyrim on the mind too, D3 free from Blizz, and Might & Magic has a new one? I'll have to check that out!

Last weeks I've been finishing last characters to level 75 from old RAF sessions. This is only to max more alchemists to stockpile gold and goods for the future. There isn't much progression to be made anymore for me since I've DF-tripleboxed all the cata dungeons (except ZG!) and bought all the relevant epic upgrades for my team months ago. So it's not about boredom, but about feeling "maxxed out". What used to be a living macro nightmare is now a walk in the faceroll park.

My accounts are now going to hibernate for some times to make more room for other hobbies. Music, snowboarding, gym, culture...

For incoming games Skyrim and D3 are still a must. It's just when you've tasted that sweet multiboxing, the depth and challenge of the other games is not comparable. But this is actually what my brain needs now - some simplicity for a change. It's like doing a cross-word puzzles after Mensa tests.

Kind of bored too. Our guild used to have 3 rosters ("casually" exploring normal mode content) now down to barely one. I haven't really multiboxed for a while now, only logging my main account 2 or 3 evenings per week for guild events. I stopped leveling my alts or doing dailies more than 6 months ago. I'm thinking of keeping only one account. Plus my computer needs a serious upgrade but not willing to invest now since the game has lost most of its attractiveness. I think it had to happen after more than 2 years without a break, no matter what Blizzard had done to the game.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss tanknspanker. Losing an important person is a reason on another level than problems already mentioned in this thread. I also have a bro, but can't even imagine how you feel.

Putting things into perspective, people having a problem getting bored with a computer game must be quite happy about their current lives. If they would have something very important going on in real life they would not even consider stating their game boredom feelings in the forums.

I don't have boredom problems ever because before that I have always found something new and fun to do.

Im sorry for your loss tanknspanker! ...i cant even imagine, i have a brother aswell.. :( they say time heals everything, but i guess thats not true at all. I would try to think about what my brother would want me to do... live on, be happy etc...and ofc remember him... very hard situation! Understandable that wow is hard too.. /hug to you

On topic... i think wow breaks are a good thing. Even good stuff becomes a pain if its too much eh... =) I grow tired of the game every now and then, but so far i have always felt the urge to get back when some time has passed =)

There are still about 6-7 of us that log in daily on magtheridon horde, and i have a blast, im still farming acheives, trying to get some of the acheive mounts b4 they are removed for my teams, and finally finishing the other teams off, i take breaks, but usually just for a day or so, maybe a weekend here and there.
