new need help

i am new to this multiboxing im using hotkeynet

here is the script im using cut and paste guy

after i start hotkeynet and my wow accounts i get to the point where the windows get renamed correctly wow 1and wow2 and then i use the folllowing macro and nothing the slave just stands there like a bumb on the log. I am in group.
/follow merlinbb
/assist merlinbb

merlinbb is in window wow 1 and is my leader of grp. i use the macro on merlinaa in wow2 and he doesnt follow well they want to run apart and the slave "aa" does not attack what bb is attacking the slave just sits there.

i would appreciate any cut and paste ideas. thank you for your help

Your slave isn't following if he's moving on his own. Are you moving with the arrow keys?

Your slave will not automatically attack the same target your main attacks, he needs to assist to acquire the same target every time you start to attack. Having the assist in your follow macro doesn't mean your slave will constantly assist.

Take a look at the Newb Multiboxers thread (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=36955). Post 4 talks about setting up macros (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?p=322299#post322299) for your team.

Do they have to be in different keybinds to work right?

If so how does it work when u are fighting and want you team mate to follow and attack/ do i hv to switch screens to hit 2 keybinds or is there a way to tell my slave what to do from my main?
Otherwise i dont see the use in this or how it works...im confused

oh and i did check out the set up macros forum before i even posted still confused then sorry.

First, is HotKeyNet actually passing the keybind to both windows?

1. Put the follow macro for your slave on key 1 in WoW.
2. Press 1. What does HotKeyNet say in the "Actions on this PC" window? Copy and paste the message here.

Macros need to be on the same keybinds. This is explained in the post I linked before. You don't list your classes, so I don't know what you're using, but I'll use shamans as an example.

1. On your Main's screen, take the Lightning Bolt spell out of your spellbook and place it on key 2.
2. On your slave, create a macro using either :


/assist Merlinbb
/cast Lightning Bolt

or


/cast [@party1target] Lightning Bolt

3. Put that macro on your 2 key on your slave.
4. Get a target and push 2. Your master should cast lightning bolt, your slave should assist your master and cast Lightning Bolt as well.

There's no screen switching involved. There's no additional keys involved.

And you did not answer my previous question. "Are you moving with the arrow keys?" Your HotKeyNet script passes the arrow keys to both windows, which causes all characters to move independently. You need to move with either the mouse or the WASDQE keys and leave your slave on follow.

ok thats whay i have already that exact macro except i'm mage so i have fireball 1 word

yes figured out that i need to use mouse no arrow keys for movement..ty but once in a while it seems they get out of sequence any idea what that maybe?

back to the assist macro thing.. i am using the tab to target is there anything i need to do to make sure that there are in sequence working together? but the slave does not target the same thing, it does not target anything at all even tired the party1 target macro nothing. the macros are on the same number so main has spell fireball, slave has macro assist toon, cast fireball

now interesting early this morning had it working logged off turned everything back on and i am right back to where i was yesterday can not figure this crap out starting to piss me off, lol.

also missed the macro you wanted me to put on slave to see if windows where key binding feel that maybe the problem.

Again, what does the hotkeynet window say when you press the key that has your attack macro on it? It siunds to me like the key is not passing to the slave window but if you don't give me the information I ask for then there is no way for me to help.

Are you even triggering the spells by keypress or are you using your mouse to click them. You must physically press the key to send the command. clicking with the mouse to cast spells does not work.

I wonder who the childish person is. I'n not flaming you or whatever. I'm just pointing out that it's a good start to read for about 2 weeks before you even consider making a second account.

I started up years ago without asking any questions. Everything I needed to know was in guides/already posted.

Give the search a go. Everything is out there and availiable. Experiment. Trial and Error.
