I'm looking at upgrading a couple of accounts to cataclysm and wondering if it's best to order the box from Amazon (£14.99) or if I can order a CD key instead for the same price from somewhere. Lots of the sites look dodgy and I'm not paying £30 to upgrade direct from wow website when I don't have to.

Cheers

edit: just to be clear, legit sites only, no funny business

That price seems good, I would just order it from Amazon; although, I do prefer the dodgy sites myself,
they make me feel like I'm in the black market looking for things I shouldn't know exist and when I press
the "Pay Now" button I get a rush of adrenaline -- I like living on the edge. =)

Do they give you all the Black Friday prices across the pond? If So I'd wait and see how they are in a few weeks.

No but mainly because no one celebrates thanksgiving - if anything we used to have to wait until AFTER christmas before discounts were available. Fortunately this is slowly changing with sales happening before christmas in many places.

Well shoot, it was an idea anyways. I had wondered if they just sold them at a reduced price anyways, because of Christmas coming up.

sorry my idea didn't help man. I would def. go the Amazon route then, as I've always had great service from them.

According to Quiding and Ebony (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=45418&page=2#15), you do get the same sales at that time.

Ah I may stand corrected! I'll keep an eye out and may just order CD's (I just think it's a waste ordering CD's when I'm never going to use them

Nah it was a good idea - in any case £15 is a good price here.

See, MiRai, that is exactly what I was thinking also. It seemed to me , that the EU crowd got the sale also, but hell, I can't remember what I had for dinner two days ago, let alone what was on sale where, a year ago.

But thanks to Multiboxing, I can forget shit in triplicate.

Holiday deals — If you want to grab a spare copy of WoW (or 5), are looking into recruiting a friend or even are looking for gift ideas, the World of Warcraft, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King each are now on sale both in the U.S. and in the EU. Pick up all three for a cool $20, €20 or £16.00.
