Hi people! I think I'm almost ready to start dungeon crawling with my toons, but I'm wondering if my group composition is viable or if I should spend some time leveling up a different class on one or more accounts.

My group is:

85 Prot pally
85 and 83 arcane mage
83 assassination rogue
81 holy priest

I'm mostly wondering about the rogue in there, whether it's easy enough to have him attack while having the casters hang back. I can if absolutely necessary move another 85 mage from the prot pally account to the rogues account, but I would like to hear some opinions on this group first. I have never run a dungeon multi-boxing (other than PLing of course) and I have yet to ever even run a single Cata dungeon. As soon as I hit post, I'm going to start setting up the group and hey, if I don't get any replies between now and the start of the first dungeon, I guess I'll find out myself! Thanks for any replies! :)

Personally, I've never been a fan of rogues or feral druids for multiboxing because of the combo point dynamic. But I know ferals were popular at one point, so I'm sure there's a way to work with it.

If you haven't played through cata content and are not familiar with boxing then I'd recommend going for an all caster group to start off with because it makes movement a lot easier.

A paly+priest+ 3x mage would work quite well methink if you have a mage to transfer from your paly account to your rogue's

Alright, I'm convinced, especially after last nights runs. Transferring the mage over! I did manage to complete Blackrock Caverns normal (not a huge deal I know, but it was my first attempt so I'm happy!) but the first boss in the Throne of the Tides, Lady Naz'jar gave me some difficulty. My rogue was pretty much useless the whole time, except when it came to skinning Beauty and her brood! :D Thanks for the replies all!

i handle my casters and melee this way:
i have two seperate follow macros
one is for the casters and i have a key set for them to stop
the melee i dont have a key for them to stop follow as they will automatically do that when they attack a target.
i just have they follow keys set differently so i can make melee or casters follow me at any time seperately.

Seems to work so far, i've done a bunch of raids so far using this method.
nothing like merc but old school stuff
