Hello

I just dual boxed 2 SPriests till 70 it was SLOW, cuz the long que times as dps only, and i hate qeusts.

I want to dual box a tank and a Caster if thats easy, 2 melee is fine, but one tank.
But how am i gonna do that?

How am i gonna dual box with 2 melee 1 tank and 1 dps (same class maybe) like: Tank warrior has other rotations then DPS warrior. and how am i gonna position my slave? cuz if master is hitting mobs slave cant reach it i geus.

When i did 2spriests i just did my rotation, i didnt put cast sequence macros. but yh..

I use HotkeyNet, and jamba.

Well if this wont work then this qeustion: I just wanna Dual box 2 characters because of raf, only via dungeons. Are there other ways if above qeustion not work? But fast ques like Healer and caster orso. JUST NO BOTH DPS!:P

To multibox multiple toons of different classes and/or specs, you need to learn to do castsequences and multiple "steps". Your first step wold be a castsequence would be a predictable rotation of spells or abilities that are always used in the same order. Your second step would be procs.

To set up steps with HotKeynet, you will need to use the Toggle command -

<Hotkey 2>
<Toggle>
<SendLabel w1, w2>
<Key 2>
<Toggle>
<SendLabel w1, w2>
<Key Numpad1>

There are tons of setups for this already listed in the macros forum in the stickies or you can search the forum for other classes.

Post #4 in this thread discusses a little about how to build a castsequence

http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=36955

If you want to use both as melee, you will need to use Interact With Target.

IMO you could do tank healer, and it would be crazy easy to setup. just lead with the healer and you'll be flying through the lvl's in no time.

How the hell would i do Tank= heal at same time? clicking on healbot and pressing my tank rotation, ooh btw next week im getting ISBoxer. But if its easy i will do that.

Best class as heal to pick is disc priest as slave i think right? Cuz of the shields what means less healing.
But if how to set up this then? how do i play tank+ heal at the easyst way.

There's several ways to do it. I use mouse passing. Others use click. Some use individual buttons. Some use VideoFX in ISBoxer. Start reading the forums, there's several links to healing in the Newb's Guide to Multiboxing (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=36955) thread and I'm sure the search will come up with tons of hits.

i use clique and grid (healbot is not good for me) and lead with my healer. and kc or w/e repeater program ur using will do just fine. have your tank set to click to move and interact with target set to somehting. target with your healer make tank assist, then hit your iwt key, the tank will run up and start tanking for u, and u jst gotta focus on healing. easy as pie

Yes but, then i need to press keys for my rotation. And clicking on heal spells at the same time. Is that hard i never done it tbh.

You won't know if it's hard until you try it. It's not for everyone since some people can't manage multiple
tasks at the same time.

It started leading with my healer for my DKs. Its taking some time to get used to the feel of it.. but the more i use..the more i like it.. and the added control it gives you for the healer. For example. I am not very keyboard literate. I hate having to use alt/cant/shift etc when healing.. so I use both Heal bot and Vudu. This was a pain before..when i healed with macro/repeater region from my tanks screen... but while I'm on my healer.. it gives me tons more single clicks with no modifiers. I love it!

I just wish healbot and vudu would allow you to customize the frames to ONLY show your group in raids, like Grid/custom layouts can.

Ah then i geus ive to try out. But i think putting my tank as lead is better cuz, tanks doesnt have a rotation.
Then i put healbot frame from healers screen to mains screen with ISBoxer orso.

for the tank you more than likely will be using a /castsequence macro (i do on my dk's) and i spam one button. and that is the only thing i do as far as tanking and dps is concerned.

I'm leading on my tank at the moment but thinking it might be useful to try leading from the healer. How do you manage tank movement this way? I've dual-boxed a ranged and melee so get the IWT side, but I'm just wondering how you deal with moving the tank away from aoe (e.g. the fire pillar on 3rd boss in LCoT) or positioning mechanics (like the boss in BRC where you move him in and out of the lava). Do you keep the tank in one place and spam heal? use follow and IWT to move a bit? or is there some sort of mouse broadcasting needed?

I don't lead from the healer, but I do run a full melee group. The most effective movement strategy with them is using strafe. Leaving the tank in one place and spamming heals may work sometimes, but it's also a good way to wipe your group...like the one you mention, Karsh Steelbender. You need to melt the armor in the lava; you also need to get him out of the lava so he doesn't AOE your group to death.

I always prefer to lead with the tank. It makes it easier to micro-manage things like targeting/using things, taunting ads and positioning.

I started duel-boxing about a week ago using a paladin and a disc priest. I lead on the Paladin and have a separate keybind to stop the priest from following once I have gathered up trash/reached the area I intend to fight at. Both my characters are 40 and I only have two macros on the tank. One is the damage rotation and the other is for Consecration/shield. On the priest I have several macros, one that specifically targets my tank and casts shields and renews, and one that casts heals. Then I have separate macros to shield and renew the various party members who join me in the dungeons. Also since I'm disc I have a macro to cast smite, holy fire, and archangel. I can see why it would be easier to lead on the priest since there's a lot more targeting/utility involved, but at the same time if you don't want to use click-to-move on the tank, there is no reason you can't lead on it.
