Just cleared Nations Rebirth Facility (0% influence )with 25 self controlled pilots: 1 drake booster, 18 shield apocs, and 6 basi's
It took 32 minutes from warp-in until completion but then took another 8 minutes of killing before I felt I could warp off safetly. One apoc took armor damage but thats not surprising given his crappy shield tank. It was a lot of fun, very intense, probably the hardest thing I've ever accomplished as a solo multiboxer. Also was my first time ever in a 40 man incursion and after embarassingly losing some ships in a 10 man just a week ago this was a nice way to recover some pride :)

So two questions come to mind =P
1) How are you 25 boxing?
and
2) What kind of rewards do you get for participating in the incursion? =)

Congrats!
Also want to join Redbeards question: how? For me its hars to control even 5 pilots at time...

I am 5 boxing relatively comfortably.. i was chugging a bit when warping etc but lowered my graphics settings and rarely have any issues anymore. I think beyond 5 manually would be hard to do / not worth it.
I would imagine he must be doing some mouse broadcasting.

Using mouse\ket-broadcast too, to focus volleys, drone control. But it is hard when your ship are not on the same distance from red dots...

i wrote this guide on incursions: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=44297
it was before i really had a chance to do any, just had been doing research. what i can tell you is that my research was accurate, these are the best way for multiboxers to make money without a doubt. not only that but they are extremely fun and challenging - far more than a L5 mission. You have to look at it more like a WoW dungeon if I must use an analogy from another MMO. It takes a smart (albeit simple) group setup. Getting neuted is the biggest danger in all of them.
here's a good reference for incursions: http://incursionguide.wordpress.com/sites/
info about my setup is in my sig, obviously I make the most of mouse broadcasting but in eve is extremely tricky and makes for the need to compromise and sort overviews in nonoptimal ways and hope they match up and filter appropriately so if you hit the wrong target it's not a big deal.
im doing 25 just cause thats the max my curent monitor setup can do effectively. honestly now that i've switched to seperate logistics and DPS ships it's become easier than when I was trying to spider tank and DPS with the same ships.

What's the minimum that you need to get into incursions from a "solo", i.e. single person multibox perspective.
Is it 5, like most of the ppl here box or can you do with 3, like me?

Very cool stuff I will check out your write up and the linked guides.
I have 2 skilled pilots, my main dude is about 75m sp and is currently training for a tengu (currently hes flying a max skilled vulture). My alt (from when i was just 2 boxing) has about 25m SP so hes pretty decent, just doesnt have as much breadth of skills as the main dude.
Just bought him a tengu last night, going to try it out tonight.
My other 3 people are just getting into ravens, I am working on the torp skills and then will sit in ravens skilling up / raising capital until its golem time.
Thats my current plan at least.
I think I will stick wtih the L4s until my skills catch up to where they need to be then will have to look into these incursions as perhaps the next step.

Bare min of a 10 man is probably 2 logistics and 3 beefy DPS ships but it might be sketchy depending on neuts. I dont know enough about the 10 mans to really say.
