found a way to hide players. only seems to work while you have the key held down but still helps for quest turn in and if some sitting on them mail box. be nice to find a way to make it a toggle on or off so could have your slaves screen toggle off so they would not show players.

go to keybindings ----> UI toggles and its the top one Hide Other Players.

Wow...that's a nifty find. I'll make heavy use of that at the auctioneers.

[edit] And the portal NPCs.

So that was an added feature in this patch? Even cooler.

Yeah, it was #6 in my list-of-cool-additions-in-the-latest-patch I posted before:

You can now add [notactive] to a /cast macro to prevent it from turning off a toggled ability.
Parties can now be displayed by default using the Raid Frame UI. Check the Display tab under Options to enable this setting.
If you are in a raid with less than 6 people, Prestige and Favor awards will be calculated using the party values.
PvP deaths no longer result in soul damage, even if NPCs are attacking you.
Cleric Cabalist: All Sigils are now area of effect on the target rather than ground targeted area effects.
Added a keybind-able command that will hide other players on your screen when the key is pressed. There is no default bound key, but you can set one in the Key Bindings menu as 'Hide Other Players' under UI Toggles.
When right-clicking stackable items to move them into a Guild Bank, they will be merged into any existing stacks in the bank if there is room.
Quests that share updates with party members will now also share across the whole raid, not just within your raid group.
After invaders take over a location they will start stacking the 'Burning Out' debuff, causing them to take increased damage for each stack.
Area effect heals that were using up a heal count on a dead friendly target will no longer do so.
The Marksman 'Bull's Eye' and other similar abilities will now work properly in macros.
The Auction House now has a new 'Vanity' subsection to look for wardrobe items!
General client performance tweaks.

Any performance increase when this is done? I'm wondering if it'll help in zone-wide events reduce lag. Wonder if we can set ISBoxer to have a key always-on?

That's the most awesome thing. Thanks for the info.

If not go the old fashion way from days gone by and wedge a piece of paper between the keys. :)

It's unfortunate that this feature doesn't hide pets. Those are the ones that really are in the way for me, trying to turn in a quest or pick something up with a necromancer team.

Though if they would hide pets as well, it would make it impossible to trick a bot into flagging for PvP. To make a bot flag for PvP so you can mess up their script, I flag myself and place my pet on top of their kill. When the bot right-clicks on his "kill" to loot, it will attack my pet instead and get flagged. Some bot programs will detect if another player is nearby (within TAB range) and stop any activity to avoid this issue, but it won't detect player pets this way. So I place myself outside the bot's TAB range but leave my pet at his kill.

In any case, I just wanted to share with you how I use the new "Hide Players" feature in ISBoxer:

In-game keybind for "Hide Players" to ALT + Z
ISBoxer mapped key: Hold, ALT + Z, Send To All: ALT + Z
ISBoxer mapped key: Press&Release, ALT + RightMouseButton, Step 1: Sync mouse position, Step 2: Send RightMouseButton

This way, when I press ALT + RightMouseButton on a quest giver, all characters in the team will interact with the quest giver. If I press ALT + Z + RightMouseButton, it will do the same but also hide players for all characters in the team. Note that it will sync the mouse cursor position when I press RightMouseButton down and send the actual mouse click on release.
