Warlock and Mage spec

Both hit 85, today and just wondering what spec I should go just need to be farming spiders in Tol Barad. (need to make some gold) I guess Burst dmg would be best?
Arcane and Destruction? or Arcane and Demo so the pet can hold aggro?

any thoughts would be nice ;)

i just hit 85 on a mixed team also, i went arcane with my mage, he does 8k steady in actual instances, havne't tested him on dummys, lock was doing 4k as destruction, switched him to demo and he's doing 7k steady now.
again though, haven't been on test dummys, those are actual instance numbers.

Yeah, I tried Demo on my Lock I'm leveling with and now I'm going to test Destro. See how the DPS hits in randoms. Just need to work out the macro rotation though since its sortta done for Demo.

If anyone has any suggestions on preference as to Affliction or Destruction, and DPS macro rotation for each, do please share. I am always pulling macros from the master ISBoxer list, as setting it up takes more time than I'm willing to give right now, so its just as easy to copy and paste :p that and other various macro locations on the site here. I am aware however as these macros may run out of date since patches that have changed spell CD's and cast times, and perhaps need some tweaking. So I'll toy with it myself too.

Yeah going off that now, been so busy lately that i don't have time to sit back and test rotations, just want to blow shit up :p for now just level up.

Now I'm just curious about what pet to have out, which would be best. I'll put them all out in different fights see the difference, if any

Yeah, those are the macros I worked out a long time ago. Haven't really changed them and noticed my locks doing about 24K DPS during heroism on Malygos and Sartharion last week. More like 18k for an extended fight like Omnitron in BWD. However, due to Soulfire, those macros definitely aren't best for low health targets or burst.
