Alterac Valley weekend - 40 level 85s

Just a heads up...

On October 22nd, there will be an attempt to multibox 40 level 85s in Alterac Valley to solo win the game against the opposition. Only one player will be in the game multiboxing all 40 positions on one side. Not believing this has ever been done or attempted before, it will be video captured and posted on youtube from start to finish complete with beginning characters listed in the battle as well as the opposition. Is there anything else that should be included in the video? Maybe the date/time? Usually a lot of people don't believe the game is on a live realm. How can that be alleviated in the video?

I would be impressed if someone could win AV playing 40 toons.

It takes imo 3 things to win AV with 40 toons:

1) Actually having 40 toons
2) Get them 40 toons in the same AV
3) Get the proper setup with enough healing and aoe dps. ( like ele shaman + resto shamans + resto druids + couple priest for dispells)

Getting 40 toons in the same AV works the same way as queuing up for a full premade WsG, i.e. both 5 groups queue up at exactly the same time, and only accept the queue if they all got it. If not requeue. Not sure how many attempts it's going to take to get all 40 in, but it doesn't look impossible. Definitely not when you queue up with more than 40 toons.

Then there are imo 2 options to have a win: either go kill opposing captain, and go back to your general and defend him to win by reinforcements. I don't really see how you gonna lose enough toons that way to not win by reinforcements. If they are organized they would just not enter the room and wait till 1 side gets bored. Which is not very likely.

The other option is going straight for the opposing general (eventually after whacking the captain first). But this takes tanks. The risk is that they have the towers down so they can engage your general faster than you can do theirs.

Should be quite fun to see that though. If there are muppets who need more evidence than the armory of both sides, you should simply ignore them.

Yeah I would suggest running straight to the final boss and just tanking him with a pve equipped tank. Easy money. I can't wait to see the video!

For real? nice! Live streaming? I too am having a difficult time comprehending this event. This would seem like a crazy amount of micomanagement to hold towers, and to take down the general.

I can see taking out the capt... no sweat. But maintaining towers. My God.

I guess there are only two approaches-- try to kill the opposing general with the towers up, or grinding down the opposition at a choke point. I don't know if the first is possible, and it seems like it'd be a hassle unless you grab and hold a graveyard near to the fight. Otherwise players might be able to scatter your group little by little. The second seems possible at one of the choke points that are near a GY, like the ones just north and south of the Field of Strife, so long as you don't let more than one or two people get past.

Not sure if it can be done, but that's the spirit of multiboxing, isn't it? Doing crazy shit that everyone thinks is impossible.

to be fair to do this would be easy run to boss and do it with towers up + mini boss 5 tanks (some set to target mini boss in there) 15 healers and 25 dps cake to be fair if u you set it up right

(since cata i seen ONCE out of many games they rushed the boss and downed him with all towers up)

Douchebaggery towards site mods/admins is the leading cause for "Banned From Orbit". So is coming back under a new name and getting caught.
