Can't ascend while flying in WoW with space key

I have difficulty consistently ascending while flying when I do it with the mouse. So I often start flight with the space bar. If the space bar is not mapped then I can ascend and the other toons follow. If the space bar is mapped I can't ascend.

I want to have the space bar mapped so I can control jumping.

Thanks. That is much better.

With the Hold option set I can rise straight up while holding the space bar. I guess it must have had that functionality before and I didn't notice it. That is very handy.
