How to copy addon "profiles" from 1 account to another?

Hello Everyone,

I have recently changed from using Elvui to X-Perl for my UI addon as I am now using the Razer Naga. Everything is working great but.......

It seems that I now have to reconfigure these addons for all of my characters on every accont, then I noticed that both of the above addons use "profiles" that i can save from 1 character and load onto another. It seems however that I cant load these "profiles" when I log in with another account.

I have tried copying the WTF folder and also the addon folder but it doesnt seem to be working.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Addons save in 2 places. Some use both locations to save different things.

World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT NAME\SavedVariables

and

World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT NAME\SERVER NAME\TOON NAME\SavedVariables

Copy the LUA file for whatever mods from the master account to the same place in the slave accounts. Make sure it's the LUA, not the BAK. It should say LUA under "Type" or when you right-click > Properties, not LUA.BAK.

Settings are not saved in the ADDON folder. Copying the entire WTF folder will also copy the \ACCOUNT NAME\Saved Variables and \ACCOUNT NAME\SERVER NAME\TOON NAME\Saved Variables paths, thus not putting the files in a folder that the slave accounts will access.

Ahh you are a god. Thank you. I didn't even think to check the saved variables in that folder. I just checked for the individual toon. Though i should have thought to look there since I can access the add-on profiles from other accounts.

If you have a profile saved per account...

You could also enable mouse broadcasting.
And configure, or click the already selected option, on one toon.
So the other toons (each on their own account) now have the same option.

At which point, you have one toon on each account with the options configured exactly as you want them.
Then do a profile copy to the other toons on each account, from the one toon that is configured.

Is this supposed to also copy the position of addon frames?

I deleted the SavedVariables folders for two toons. Then I pasted in the folders from another toon. The addon frames for the toons I copied to look identical. But they are in different positions and states than the one I copied from.

Did you save as its own profile? My profiles in Pitbull all load the proper style and location when I load the new profile.
