Hi guys/gals, I am new to the forum and new to Keyclone. I have been playing 2 accounts the hard way for over a year now and mostly my alt was just a pocket healer that spammed 1 button heals that i could reach. I am a 3 year vet to the game so nothing new to learn about game mechanics; leveling, raiding, pvp and so on.
I started 2 undead rogues before I read the FAQ about class selection and understand why they are not desireable, they are macro intensive. I have learned to run my main threw the mob and then turn 180 and have both me and my alt attacking the target, my alt on the back and me up front, (thank you fient). Its fun to watch the mob spin back and forth and otherwise go down in a matter of a few seconds.
My entire alt has macros for every single spell he has, well except for stealth, all beginning with /assist zaa. I also changed my alts movement keys to 1 of the hotbars and macroed them all to follow, so when i press any direction key on my main my alt has no choice but to follow. I have to move my main in such a way that positions the alt in melee range but after so many targets this is second nature. I also specced my alt differently than my main; main=combat, alt=assassination. I did this since my alt is almost always at the targets back and coming out of stealth so he hits big, i went combat since i gain initial aggro and I want to have sustained dps, keep them hits going. It is so far working and I will post videos of my progress. goodluck to you all and thanks for reading my post :)

whoa.. 2x rogues. nice work. i've tried to think how a 5 box of rogues would work (Cuisinart anyone?) and haven't come up with anything.
i'd definitely like to see the videos and maybe some screenshots of your gang
oh, and welcome to the forums!
:D
welcome to the community rak,
you dare todo what most people dont want to try with and well done in able to make it sucessful and yes vids please!
If i was in your position i'd go in subelty to hemo and have a combat spec main. I just think that after a while the backstabber/mutilater would pull to much agro whilst hemo is buffing both rogues. I always think its a good idea when running all dps to have a char that you can always have agro on.

Here is some video of me and my 2 rogues so far and will adjust as level increases:
In the first video you can see basically how every fight takes place as of level 17. Notice my main attacks while my alt is still stealthed and advancing. I made a beautiful macro for my alt to help with this, here it is:
#showtooltip
/assist zaa
/cast [stance:1] ambush
/castsequence [nostance] reset=2 sinister strike, backstab, sinister strike
What this says is; (show icon current spell, target mains target, if stealthed ambush, if unstealthed cast sinister strike then backstab then sinister strike, start over in 2 seconds sinister strike, backstab, sinister strike)
I had to add the 2 seconds so incase the target turned an attacked the alt so he wouldnt be stuck on backstab.

I hope you enjoyed this video and many more to come, hopefully with sound even if its just music. Im new to all of this, keyclone and Gamecam so please forgive me since I am a noob.
Thanks for reading my post :D

nice work!
I had the impression Rogues would be most fun out of all the melee classes to 5 box with.. even in Arena
i always fancy the idea of Cheapshotting with my main and have 4 rogues ambush a clothie right behind you.. then vanish and repeat..
and in the case of having to get behind ppl.. stunlocking with your main and have the 4 clones shadowstep behind him.. mobility issues are then somewhat reduced. would still be very difficult and you would require a lot of skill/luck to pull that sort of thing off.
as for pve having shadowstep rogues as clones could be the answer for raiding multibox rogues

this is in my plans once i get the chance....i've tried with 2 and getting pretty good at it, will be 3 once they hit 20 to match up with my alt rogue thats been collecting dust for a while now, but since they're still only lvl 9, i'll make the 2 extras and lvl them to even it out to a 4 man then get them all to 20 together...will post with the results when i get the chance

Good job Rak!
I've toyed with a similar idea to 5 rogues possibly swapping some out with druids but.... must... re..sist... urge... for ...more...alts...
Thanks for sharing your bits of wisdom and experience!

This makes me think I should level up my 32 feral druid to meet up with my 46 combat rogue.
I did think about effectively dropping my alt (druid) off follow and standing stealthed, then using my main rogue to bring the mob on to the cat (and turn it the right way). Then again I might not bother with stealth at all.
I'll watch your video and see how you do it when I get home from work.

i was always weary of making a full rogue party for the reason of what am i going to do with them at 70?
I guess you could farm lower lvl instances, but heroics would be out of the question.
farm honor for some gear i suppose

I am running 2 rogues and using much the same technique - cheap shot with the main (combat), walk through the mob and then ambush or garrote with the alt (assassination), or just wait to cheap shot again with the slave toon. You can keep a mob (or a person) stunlocked forever. It's working great so far, just hit 45 with the pair. I'm using Macaroon, which makes the setup a lot easier - I think I'm only using 3 or 4 macros total. The alt always has the main as his focus, so the alt's 3 primary hot bars are set to focustarget. The hardest part is trying to CC multiple targets (i.e. sap, blind, gouge), but I am trying to work that out by marking targets with raid target symbols and then binding keys on the alt to target specific raid targets and then use specific abilities (haven't quite worked this out yet).
I also need to work out whether or not I can use spell rotation macros to alternate the same abilities between the two. Right now I just have things like kidney shot, kick, dismantle, and vanish on different keys so I can alternate stuns, or vanish just one rogue for another cheap shot, etc. This is working fine so far, but I'm starting to run out of hotkeys for new abilities.
The toughest part of running 2 (or more) melee is obviously the positioning. I approach this by having a key bound on my slave toon to "/follow focus" that I can spam in combat. If the alt is turned around, I walk through the mob with my main and spam the /follow key to get the slave toon behind the mob again.
Looking forward to getting this duo to 80 so I can tri-box them with my resto druid. That's going to be beast!
