Wow! Finally a release date!
I wonder how much earlier the "early access" will start for those that have pre-ordered. Anyway, should be fun to play a quality MMO that isn't WoW for a while.

I am wondering this as well, I'm sure that question will come up and they will give us an idea of how HS will work. I ordered my two copies a few weeks apart.. And early access will be in waves depending on when you purchased your pre order. I have vacation days to spend before Jan,1st..I want to take a few days during early access.

The real question for me is whether or not I want to start by multiboxing it or start with one character and then add another 1-3.
I guess we don't even have any solid answers on whether or not they allow boxing or even have a follow and assist functionality.
Hmmm.

Personally, when/if I get into it, I'll start with one, get a feel for the game, and then move up if I decide to.

Hmmm.
They have stated that boxing is allowed, and have said that they have follow and assist, and this has been confirmed by people in the beta.
They said a macro system will be put in soon after launch.

unless they put in there TOS that u can not run more then one client per PC then its not really bannble really :P. whoever started mutiboxing just did it they did not ask. if your looking it at a law point of view ofc. IF the game support it in anyway with follow etc then well that's not really going to be bioware prob

@ebony:
Uh, that's actually not true at all. There are multiple clauses in any MMO's ToS that they reserve the right to terminate your account for any reason they please.

I had emailed customer service and asked, and they gave the same general response you get from wow that "...currently we do not plan on taking account action for the use of 3rd party software that broadcast keystrokes or the use of hardware mux/demux solutions..."
or something along those lines, i cant find the email, as i always do spring cleaning on my boxes. i emailed customer service again and asked again, once I get the replay I will post it here.
I also have a friend who works in austin for bioware, and I asked her to ask the CS team directly for an unofficial answer tomorrow, so i will probably have the unofficial answer tomorrow and be able to screen shot the email whenever they decide to reply.
she also gave the heads up that macro's are on the board, but not a priority.

Mosg2 is right, at any time blizz could shut down multiboxing without word or change, due to this line right here:
Account Suspension/Deletion.
BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ANY BNET ACCOUNT OR WORLD OF WARCRAFT ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Use or the EULA (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/eula.html).
and they could simply point to this when you try and appeal
C. use any unauthorized third-party software that intercepts, “mines,” or otherwise collects information from or through the Game or the Service, including without limitation any software that reads areas of RAM used by the Game to store information about a character or the game environment; provided, however, that Blizzard may, at its sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third party user interfaces;

...lolWut?
You lose your account.
At anyrate, I was just stating that they do not have to specifically state it, to be able to ban it as you implied.
But i totally agree with you that the best way to find out is to just do it ;)

Very glad to finally have this. Granted, I already had two copies on pre-order for dual-boxing. Still, I'm relieved that the game won't be delayed until 2012.

Well now that we have a release date around Christmas. Lets see how close Wows new patch will be released. They tend to do that quite frequently when a new game is released.
Of course i'm still going to play Star wars regardless of what wow releases.
This and diablo 3 have me very excited.
