Damn, I can't wait for addons. So many little GUI quirks I'd love to fix (like filtering level 50 chat channel for event warnings only). Also looking forward to seeing what this planar attunement actually does for you.

Same, I have been following it and waiting and waiting and waiting ...

I want to have a look at the add on support and the API and hopefully I can write something to sort the bags and group things.

Also, I am looking forward to the portable vendor and the mailbox in the Veteran rewards section.

Would be sweet if someone does a healbot type addon 8)

Don't be too disappointed if the addons we'll see for the near future are pretty limited. I played with the API a bit and while it's well constructed, it's very limited right now. From what I can tell, the initial addons will mainly be things like buff timers, proc watchers and maybe some very basic unit frames.

I'm looking forward to it being released though. I think I can replace quite a few VideoFX with a couple addons.

You can read up on what the addon API supports in the forums. Last time I checked it was _extremely_ limited. They're aiming for the "small scope and good quality" approach rather than "a lot of features but everything is broken" for initial version.

However, I'm reading the patch notes now and there's a lot of goodies there. Besides the big ticket items, I like these ones:

You can now add [notactive] to a /cast macro to prevent it from turning off a toggled ability.
Parties can now be displayed by default using the Raid Frame UI. Check the Display tab under Options to enable this setting.
If you are in a raid with less than 6 people, Prestige and Favor awards will be calculated using the party values.
PvP deaths no longer result in soul damage, even if NPCs are attacking you.
Cleric Cabalist: All Sigils are now area of effect on the target rather than ground targeted area effects.
Added a keybind-able command that will hide other players on your screen when the key is pressed. There is no default bound key, but you can set one in the Key Bindings menu as 'Hide Other Players' under UI Toggles.
When right-clicking stackable items to move them into a Guild Bank, they will be merged into any existing stacks in the bank if there is room.
Quests that share updates with party members will now also share across the whole raid, not just within your raid group.
After invaders take over a location they will start stacking the 'Burning Out' debuff, causing them to take increased damage for each stack.
Area effect heals that were using up a heal count on a dead friendly target will no longer do so.
The Marksman 'Bull's Eye' and other similar abilities will now work properly in macros.
The Auction House now has a new 'Vanity' subsection to look for wardrobe items!
General client performance tweaks.

As long as they don't break raid frames... I use those 24/7 due to bugs causing the normal party frames to fail to update properly; pet frames in the party UI are 95% non-functional for me.

Yeah, I use raid frames all the time too. Not just for the pet bars but for mouse-over healing, so I really like that you can set it as my default UI and I won't have to switch to it manually all the time.

But the best part is the [notactive] macro modifier, so I can finally cast the toggleable buffs like my normal buffs and don't have to micromanage each character.

That is indeed a damned nice tweak. Sorta the verbose version of /cast !buffname. :p

Did you see cichards work up using Isboxer? He had it almost identical to clique/grid or healbot.

was good stuff.

I use the numpad to control my healer, casting various heal spells on whoever is the current main in the team.
I use Shift-1 through Shift-5 and mouse over a character in the raid frames to cast various heal spells on that character.
Both the numpad and mouse-over healing works the same no matter which character I'm currently using as main. Seems to work pretty good for me.
