Well; after x number of years I guess it was my turn. I don't see how it can happen with authenticators on all accounts unless the change to authenticators has a bug in it. I honestly thought (when I saw the blizzard emails) that it was a fake email but it appers that one of my accounts has been comprimised. Please demote all of my toons so nothing gets lost from the gbank.

I called billing (yuck PST) to cancel the other 4 accounts from autosupscription. I asked them how could they get around the authenticator (so I wouldn't make the mistake again) and they told me that no authenticator was OR EVER HAD BEEN, on this account.

Hmmm... I can understand somehow my account being comprimised and them getting access into my battlenet account and taking the authenticator off (no small feat mind you) but NEVER having an authenticator? I have the core hounds pups, heck I even had to show SVPER I had the core hound pups to get Member(Auth) status. So why was my account asking for authenicator information for such a long time?

Something just doesn't add up here.

a great question to ask Blizz. Why do you have the corehound pup if youve NEVER had an authenticator?!?! perhaps they are not looking at YOUR account... or theyre just really stupid.

Well if you voted stupid you would be right. Unfortuantely the stupid is me.

Blizzard is right, there has not been any authenticator on this account. A few months back I did RAF and since it required 2 battlenet accounts I had to transfer one set of toons over. I must have moved from Original to RAF (so thats why it is my fault).

I should have caught on because all my RealID friends complained they couldn't tell I was online. I was sure I had to input an auth code in the last couple of weeks but I must just be kidding myself.

You will be happy to note that my orginal account, the one with the active authenticator, is still hacker free. This is actually how I figured it out. My account was restored so the first thing I went to do was put my authenticator on and it gave me a message "this authenticator is already assigned to another battlenet account" /sigh

Anyway, after eating some humble pie, my accounts have been restored and I should be able to play soon.

Damn Corey that sucks. I've been traveling and am only just checking in now. I can be on later tonight to do any account maintenance you need. There shouldn't be much need for demotions etc. since the GB is set up for minimal damage. Give a shout when you get your accounts back and need invites. The guild rep is a biatch to get back. I wonder if customer support can help you et back your rep.

Interesting. I transferred toons across a bnet account and lost all rep with the guild. I'm guessing the same might happen with corey's toons.

All good here, you sure it was my chars? I looked in the guild log and didn't see many leave guild in the last week.

I put in the support ticket and they told me they "couldn't" restore the guild rep ... the said there was a time window (hahaha) Oh well, it goes pretty quick.
