Problem with keyclone (or perhaps me? :D)

Greetings Multi-Boxers!

i have just recently started Dual boxing, heres my setup (keep in mind im a noob)

1 PC, 1 copy of keyclone, 2 accounts.

currently im doing two locks

i have do not pass keys set up: W A S D Q E M and enter

i also play full screen maximized on both wows.

here is my problem,

Sometimes when i use keyclone, it works fine, im doing a really simple setup where i just hit G for follow me, and f for assist my main, and attack my target. nothing too extravagant.

heres the problem, at random times, my main wont respond to hot keys, mouse clicking, anything at all :(

sometimes this problem resolves itself with combat ending, other times i have to restart keyclone multiple times to get it workin again. i have tried run as administrator for keyclone, reinstalling keyclone multiple times, restarting wow. it just seems kind of random, or perhaps im hitting something wrong and not realizing it.

in any case, it greatly affects my dual boxing experience, or lack there of hehe.

any help would be appreciated, im going to bed soon but ill check this thread when i get up (around 4pm PST) and provide any additional details if needed.

P.S. I did search google and forum search this website for similar problems but i couldnt find anything quite like mine, only a few problems with the slave not responding which i didnt think applied to me because it was my main that wasnt working.

I've had ISBoxer and Octopus do this very rarely -- it's not specific to a particular app. Usually it's either the chat window popping up accidentally or you are hitting a key modifier that toggles something you didn't expect mid-combat. Granted, I've only had it happen maybe once every few months.

I'd go through all the keyclone settings and your in-game keybinds and make sure you aren't inadvertently hitting a key combination that's changing hotbars or a keyclone toggle you forgot about or something silly like that.

imo make sure r is on your blacklist, if someone has wispd u and u hit r, its the same as hitting enter. it's worth checking out.

Thanks guys, appreciate the info, gonna try those suggestions and get back to you here, if it doesnt work ill also contact rob @ keyclone, ill check back by tomarrow afternoon, but im going to do some troubleshooting with the program right now.

okay update, i just tried blacklisting R, to no effect, and i have gone through my key bindings and settings to make sure im not triggering anything, to no avail, it just happened again :(

heres exactly what i was doing.

Two warlocks, one following the other, i tab target, hit F to attack and have my dual box partner assist me and attack my target, and bam, main couldnt attack but alt could.

ive even done it without macros, and still have the problem :( i cant imagine what it is : /

query: i just saw this on the keyclone site and it got me wondering, i have been playing in fullscreen windowed alt tabbing back and forth on occasion, perhaps this is causing a problem?

ill check it out later today.

run keyclone
run the WoW in Windowed mode

is interact set to f on your main as well? i always setup assist follow on ` key, then do my attacks as normal. no real need to do iwt with ranged classes

I had this problem occasionally. Same setup: two accounts, both windows maximised. When I switch the windows with Alt-Tab, sometimes the window in front does not get the focus. If I switch more slowly, it does. So when the problem occurs, try to switch forth and back slowly, sometimes that works.

i had given up on the program for a while, but i decided to give it a try again, and what i did, was make a macro for my main, the same macro for my secondary.

/assist player1
/cast etc..etc..

and i havent had the problem again.

maybe using in effect a different spell on each game was messing it up, not sure.

only other change i have done is i took off avast and installed microsoft security essentials.
