I'm able to do runs in about 1 minuet including loading times on my dk team with one DK in blood presence and him being the beacon target.

I stop once every 4 runs for mana for 20 seconds.

You get approximately 100g per run, so you can make about 5k an hour with this.

If you are in a guild with extra gold perk you get an extra 500 an hour.

as good as farming in BoT basically (not really, but you get the point)


Edit: randomly you will hit long times between instances due to loading screens for w/e reason.... so expect 40 runs an hour opposed to 50.

Highly possible this will be patched very very soon.

If you want to make so many runs in an hour, do you not need a whole bunch of teams? else doesn't instance reset locking apply?

Theres no limit to the amount of runs you can do per hour using LFD tool (which you use to access him)

Even if you were to do it 24 hours a day till it is over you can only make....1.9 million

Even at 10 hours a day you are looking at under 1 million gold. (personally i have no life atm and this fills time)

I was on a break from WoW when Brewfest hit last year but my previous experiences of Brewfest was that it was a quest based daily, so I could farm the mounts with my Shammies.

This year, it seems you can only use the Dungeon Tool to get to that boss - if you just go to the bar, he isn't there.

That now means that neither my Shammy nor Mage teams can do him, even though both teams would melt him much faster than my mixed team do :(

Can't really blame them, cause half of this forum is acting as if running the same shit for hours is all they, just to get more stupid gold.

Drops now about 15-22 gold. I did maybe 30 runs to test this. Average loot was little under 100g per run.

I just went in and was shocked they nerfed the gold drop that fast. I guess a few greedy people who have 100k+ gold want to keep it that way and so they QQ'd on the blizz forums.

What was REALLY sweet about those drops was owning your own guild, the guild bank would have been FLUSH.

Also, since I am on an Oceanic realm, I really got screwed out of being able to milk this for 5-6hrs like others did :(

Combine that with GC's latest comments about not changing the game so much that your subscriber base loses interest in the game they're loving to play....just makes you wonder what's in the koolaid out there.

and yep 1.26g or something now on EU i missed the gold drop though to many was framing, even solo players so it was not cus of us and that is why the loading screen was bugged. really sucks all my mages can not join as i need some of the items on them. i just made a video of doing it with 4 frost dk's and my hpally

I wonder why they over-nerf content like this. ~100g a kill might have been a little ridiculous in hindsight for them, especially with multiboxers taking advantage of such an easy boss. But cutting it so that each person in the group only gets a single gold per run is kind of far, and removes most of the incentive to repeatedly do the boss. Less people compelled to do the boss, the longer the average queue time. It's a shame, really.

Would there have really been anything wrong with cutting it back to 25-35g? It's not like it was a completely effortless task, people still had to spend the time to earn the gold. Oh well.

I killed him like 30 times yesterday with a druid (bear) + 4 shamans (3x ele, 1x resto) - only 2 or 3 times I'd say that the healer was really required. Considering that switching the resto to elemental would increase my dps further I'd say he is killable without a healer in most cases. Depending on your group setup your problem might be that you cant queue up in DF without a healer.

This "exploit" as they called it has no bearing in any way on multiboxers, it's just a weak "exploitable" design.

Damn, I missed the boat on free gold. Oh well.

I did this easily with my DKs. I did 1x Blood, 3x Frost all in PvP 371 gear, and pugged a healer. The healer wasn't really needed but whatever. Killed him in 38 seconds.

I also did this with my Paladin + 3x Elemental Shaman + 1x Resto Shaman all in iLevel 348 gear. It was easy, but healing was required as my gear is a tad low.

I also did it with my 5x arcane mages. I queues with my tank + healer, kicked both then invited my 2 other mages.
I blew all my cool downs, including time warp, and killed him in 14 seconds :)

Coren only has 1.3 million health or so.

its still good to run all your teams once a day.. you get a chance at mounts and BoE maces. They sell for squat.. but what the hay!

Not sure if it's related, but neither my rogue nor my warrior could directly loot Coren when they just stood their while my casters dragged em through. I had to loot the melee trinket with another toon and trade it to them. So maybe if you don't do any dmg to him, the corpse might bug for you.

Do you already have the old one in the bank or something, from previous brewfests? Also what level is the toon that you can not loot from.

Has anyone tried summoning lower level alts while the instance is already up? I remember we did this one year and it worked fine. Although it would only be for trinket rolling since you wont get the keg loots.

No trinket from previous years in my inventory or bank and I did not get it this year as well. Might try doing some damage to Coren.
